I wouldn't say that outlaw star was trash but it definitely isn't seeing bebop. The cast in bebop > cast in outlaw star. Ein is better than most of the cast in outlaw star.

Maybe you need to go back and rewatch both series cause its not even close. You can go to tons of places that discuss anime and you'll be lucky if you see gene or outlaw star even mentioned but I guarantee spike and cowboy bebop will be mentioned quite antes times.

I don't care about what the Bebop stans think. Bebop has a better soundtrack but that doesn't make it a better show. Outlaw Star is on the same level of greatness.

ive grown out of most if not all anime, but i always come back to outlaw star. if only they made a game . im content with out it ended, but i wish there was a blu ray or movie prequel with hilda. im hitting everybody with daps and reps up in hea

@ Joss Whedon who says Outlaw Star didn't inspire his Firefly show.

They both almost start the same damn way. They're both space westerns and the main characters have almost the same goddamn morals.

firefly was great, but it was so eerily similar that i kinda felt they did bite.

Outlaw star was nice but that gene >>>> spike talk is nonsense.

Yeah, she appears in the episode heavy metal queen of Cowboy Bebop. Supposedly in the manga she tells Spike that he reminded her of someone she used to love (referencing Gene Starwind).

In episode 13 of OS Gene wears Spike's outfit.
