I like how Hazanko avoided being one of those cliche villains that tries to take out the hero in the last minute.

When he saw Gene Starwind becoming a threat, he sent his strongest assassin to murk his ass.

It's a good thing dude decided he wasn't bout dat life anymore (which was written well) and faked his own death. He is also the only one to have almost killed the entire team in the show.

Damn, this take me back. This was definitely one of the staples in my after-school TV lineup. I definitely need to find this somewhere online to watch it again. at the crew constantly being broke.

One episode comes to mind for being surprisingly depressing:
That episode where Jim was kicking it with the girl with the two cats struck a nerve with me. The ending had me like :ohhh: :sadbron:

The fukked up part was he never realizes the reason she stood him up in the end was because he just helped kill her :(

I like Gene Starwind, he is a real cool but Spike is maybe a top 10 anime character easily.

Was Hazanko even in any eps beside the last 2? Hazanko's intro and the way he manhandled that McDougall brother with quickness blew me away, like he just murk'd the series long villain in an instant. Him and that straightjacket guy filled with water were the GOAT grand opening grand closing antagonists.

I thought it was bad when Hilda was killed a few eps into it.
