The Booth just needs some 'direction'. it seems the mods always wanna let shyt slide cause it's generating hits or whatever. but then the site/subforum just ends up going 'whatever way the wind blows', and has no real sense of identity

The Booth just needs some 'direction'. it seems the mods always wanna let shyt slide cause it's generating hits or whatever. but then the site/subforum just ends up going 'whatever way the wind blows', and has no real sense of identity
The people who want a change need to make the threads and get cats to post in them. I skip many threads but it's plain as day that the troll/ bait/ stan war threads to hella numbers and generate the traffic. I find myself reading them because they are usually good for a laugh.
I can't complain about stickys because you need posts in that thread. There needs to be interest. No one will read a sticky thread if there is no discussion in it. I made a thread about Ka and it got a sticky after 3 pages of conversation. What I'm saying is that you need cats posting. It shouldn't get a sticky just because it's different from the status quo. You can't post in one or two threads and get mad when a thread about a topic you don't like gets 500 responses. I have a Talib Kweli thread on it's 4th page. I'm sure when the album drops, I'll have no problem getting the sticky because the interest is there.
I think that the sub forums need to be integrated into the booth. No "Why is this in the Booth? It's not hip hop." Just change the booth to strictly music so that the visibility is afforded to all topics.
Another thing that needs to stop is the repeated threads about the same exact topic. Usually within hours of each other.
Last but not least, we need to mention the mods of the booth and not BK and BKSOWN all the time. Use the snitch option and at the mods about posters' actions. It would piss me off if I had a position that was constantly jumped over. Maybe mods should be the only one to at BK and BKSOWN in the forums outside of Event Staff. Start using the snitch and ignore features and quit asking for a ban at the drop of a dime.

I hear what you saying but those hit threads are needed. More traffic is always a good thing for the site. The booth just needs more originality and diversity. It should consist of pure,non trolling hip hop discussion,comedic threads,old school talk,new school chat,mainstream discussions,and have underground threads. When it gets too lopsided one way or the other is when it suffers. The repetitive threads are a major problem though. There could be a thread that does numbers and people will try to spin it ten different ways to do numbers,but the same thing still gets discussed as the original thread
