Villa Straylight.
Midwest nikka but the south. I love satanic ass Memphis Hip-hop.

:duck:
Nah my dad used to do write ups for interscope in word up magazine. He got a lot of west coast albums earlier so he'd use me and my twin to gauge their quality. I grew up on both east and west coast acts.:yeshrug: I like west coast samples more than east honsstly and their flows are smoother. East coast just has better lyrical content and devices (Not all the time, though)

Midwest cat, product of 90's west coast gangster rap. The way the west combined street tales and making them sound smooth as fukk just spoke to me.

read the lyrics to Regulate.

Then listen to that smooth ass mellow beat. .. after that try to explain how they go perfectly together without sounding like a psychopath.

East Coast checking in

Love the older Memphis stuff :damn:

More recently...love the "Alabama Sound" that came out of Huntsville in the late 00's early 2010s fueled by the production of The Block Beattaz and R-Dot :whew: G-Side, Gone in Alabama, some of Jackie Chain's stuff :ohlawd: the GOAT most underrated regional sound there ever was :mindblown: Those guys took programming , sampling and overall sound quality to another level when the rest of the world was still spazzing over little 4 note melodies and snare rolls :comeon:
