As for tag teams in the 80s? Just look at the first Survivor Series and the 10 tag team match. Get real. The Bushwhackers, the Bumblebees, Brain busters, and of course Demolition were all over.

Actually it was 2 for heaven. But no shyt it took a while? Did you see who was on top then? Hogan didn't even want to work with Bret even when he looked like a deflated ballon. Did you even read my OP? I mention how superior the Crockett teams were. Road Warriors could headline cards. RnR Express basically invented what a modern baby face tag is. Nobody paying to see shytty ass demolition or powers of pain :dead: None of those teams were on the level of hardyz or dudleys at their peak
Demolition were very over because they biting the Road Warriors..then when they came over, they got got turned heel because the fans would side with LOD anyway.

???

Who are the Bumblebees :russ:

Bushwhackers and Brain Busters weren't even there yet.

It was Strike Force, Bulldogs, Killer Bees, Rougeau Bros, and Young Stallions vs Hart Foundation, Demolition, Valentine & Bravo, The Islanders, and the Bolsheviks.

Then in '88 it was Hart Foundation, Powers of Pain, The Rockers, Bulldogs, and Young Stallions vs Demolition, Brain Busters, Rougeaus, Bolsheviks and the Conquistadors :mjlol:

But yeah, point stands... tag division was rockin' from '86 to about '91.

The Rock Austin set up really was always in motion..they didn't have any matches when Austin came back and he would talk crazy and Punk everyone on the mic but the Rock. Unforgiven 2000..Rikishi accusing Rock of being behind it and Austin confronted Rock and made Austin leave his locker room..$hit no one ever saw with face Austin before. Stunned Rock to kick off that Smackdown when Rikishi made it seem like it was Rock but Rock laid him out to end the show with the ultra close up as if he was turning heel:laugh: Then Cripple H did the sledgehammer reveal on Austin in the tag match the following Monday with JR going bonkers "You son of a bytch! Why?! Somebody TELL ME WHY?!"

Then they Austin and Rock face off in Hell in a Cell with the Rocky chants being louder and him laying Austin out str8 up before the distractions and finish..same thing at Rumble 2001..Rock outfought him before Kane got behind him and tossed him out. There was Slick signs and build up for 9 months..

I'm talkin' about the whole entire buildup... and Mania 17 was the best or at least top 3 Mania of all time :yeshrug: IJS...
what was great about the buildup besides the limp bizkit video? as for mania 17 being the best of all time, well yeah it was the peak of the attitude era. zero chance to fukk it up when you have rock and austin headlining, plus tlc.

but as far as "creative" goes the wwe during that time was at its best from 96-2000. 2001 was a clusterfukk with the invasion. heyman saved smackdown post brand split in 2002

Zero chance to fukk it up?? They had two half-ass Manias back-to-back before that, even with WWF at its peak in popularity. There was definitely still a chance to create a shytty program- Mania XV had Rock and Austin headlining too, rest of the show was ass.

this was the mania when they had some off their best year ever 2000, and had an infusion of great talent. jericho, dudleyz, radicalz where not there in 1999. they would have had to go full on stupid to fukk it up. which they probably almost did, you could hhh trying to shoe horn himself into the main event

Early to mid 90's was garbage, WWE would've folded 10x over if HBGOAT wasn't carrying the company on his back

You nikkas must be young if you don't realize how horrible the gimmicks and stories were during that era

The GOAT really carried the weight on his shoulders :mjcry:
