Said it in HL but this is one area I rock with Trump on.
These companies will claim they can't find enough educated and talented people for these jobs but its a lie by companies in order to justify outsourcing to save money. But a lot of companies learn the hard way when for example when it comes to coding, these people from India and China suck and then the few US staff are responsible for fixing their shyt which is unnecessary overhead.
If Bernie or Warren are the nominees, I have faith in them continuing in scaling back the abuse of this system. A lot of other candidates don't have economic policies and beliefs developed enough to see the issue with it or they are outright shills for it (i.e. Californian senator Kamala Harris who is probably being pushed by Big Tech to support it). Unfortunately, outside of that, I think a lot of Democratic candidates would support it if they haven't stated their stance on it yet for the simple fact tech companies like Alphabet and Facebook and a host of others outside of the big ones have successfully learned to exploit the social justice sympathies of people and can frame being against expanding HB1 program as being xenophobic and closed-minded against bringing the best of the best from around. This would be a valid argument if they were actually hiring the best from across the world. Instead, they are hiring the cheapest and most exploitable. A lot of these workers when they are brought over here are treated like slaves.

union & gov workers was the only ones eating for the most part. Maybe had to take a cut in hours/wages etc but were still keeping they heads above water.
