That bridge at around the 2:00 mark was atrocious. I still cringe on that corniness.

I will say, however, that the live drums were really dope on this track, and that crescendo build up on the 3rd verse was heat. All despite Puffys corny ass.

Can't lie. PE 2000 was my joint back then. The joke is that I had no idea it was a P.E. beat. Which goes to show you: young listeners don't care who's sampled and won't even notice unless it's spelled out clear as fukk.

This was one of the best songs ever when I was 12. In retrospect though, the over the topness of the 90s mixed with puff taking himself so seriously is laughable.

I still respect the sample he chose. as well as this being on the same soundtrack

Terrible song, awful video....All Puff's worst insticnts and the 90's excess twilight in full display here. However, 'Forever' is a dope album, as far as Bad Boy releases go. The real embarassment, for a listenable song, despite it's contrived and absurd message is 'Best Friends', that one is truly shameless. Complete egomania run amok.
