but also consider a lot of these owners have way less money than Ballmer

if they are circumventing traditional pay to players they’re probably trying to save money somehow. Ballmer throwing extra money on the max because he that much richer than them all. They could feel some type of way about being unable or not wanting to compete at his level financially. could also be pissed how obvious that no work contract was and be pissed at him for fukking the game up and Silver also works for them
