A flash in the pan breh?:comeon:

You dont go 16-0 over almost 7 years while in the process beating beat Erik Morales 2x, JMM 2x, Marco Antonio Barrera, David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito, and Shane Mosley and win 5 belts in 5 different weight classes in the process (Super Featherweight, Lightweight, Light Welterweight, Welterweight, and Light Middleweight champion)

You can be a fan of Floyd and not hate on Pacquiao's accomplishments. Floyd will beat Manny imo.....but Manny couldnt accomplish what he did if he was a flash in the pan.
mainstream wise
no one cared about pacquaio until the floyd stuff
mainstream wise, no body cares about him now
i didn't say he wasn't a good boxer
but his popularity as to do with people hating floyd and wanting someone to beat him

Mainstream wise, the same can be said about Floydie... no one cared about him until De La Hoya and hatton.. two guys with significantly bigger draws than him. When he fought Hatton uk ppvs outsold american ppvs by a huge margin even with the fight airing at 5am... when he retired people stopped giving a fukk and jumped on the Pacquiao bandwagon... Floyd came back and he had no choice but to ride Pacquiao coat tails and go after one of his leftovers coming from 135 :skip: you can make an argument that Pac got big from the anticipation of a fight with Floyd, but its the exact same vise versa.m Floydie got big off Pacs name too..
The only reason Floydie ppv numbers are gonna do big again is because AGAIN he has a super stacked card with a gang of spanish nikkas on a spanish holiday.. lets keep it real

hold up hold up..did nikkas really just say pacquiao was a flash in the pan? really? :dahell: no person who watches boxing seriously should ever say something like that....flash in the pans don't have the fights, opponents, and wins that he has..any argument supporting that pacquiao is a flash in the pan is idiotic

The fact of the matter is that Pac has ZERO leverage. He can talk shyt until the cos come home but the FACT of the matter is that he's a 2 time LOSER. A LOSER has nothing more than his mouth to back him up. There's no real current hype for a Pac-Floyd match up and Floyd has been saying repeatedly that he's not willing to throw him any bones

You sound dumb... De La Hoya was a 4 time loser going into the fight with Floydie. .. and who had all the leverage.???

And guess what the outcome was:ufdup:

And this isn't De La Hoya. Are you saying Pac ever had the type of clout Hoya had? Floyd had the leverage back when the fight actually would have MEANT something. Now Pac is a LOSER with a damaged reputation talking shyt. Floyd has ZERO need to throw him a bone....

Pac should sign with Mayweather. He's already gotten used and abused by Arum. At least if he's with Mayweather, there's a legit chance of that one last great payday he'll have if he gets to fight Floyd.

Arum is a POS. Pac's loyalty to Arum is:mindblown:

But we not talking about Roger or anybody else. We're talking leverage to get the fight

The question is simple. Does Pac have any leverage?

We're talking about a potential$200 million dollar fight, that million(S) plural will still pay to see, where all Floydie has to do is accept a split of the ppv revenue.. all the bytch has to do is stop popping up with a new demand every time negotiations start up.... for example, now Pac has to sign with Floydie promotions for a fight to happen... pac nor floyd need any leverage for the fight to happen and for BOTH to still make career high paydays.... Pac has agreed to the tests Floyd has to agree to a split... its eithe Floyd agrees to a ppv split where top rank co promotes or the fight doesn't happen

Of course he has leverage..there's only 3 active fighters in this game that sell PPVs and have a large fan base regardless of their losses or any other factor: Pac, Floyd, and Cotto..Pacquaio-Mayweather is still the biggest fight to be made in boxing today...you stans don't seem to get that...no one wanted to see Floyd vs Victor Ortiz or Floyd vs Robert Guerrero..the guerrero fight was a huge statement to that because Showtime had to put their foot down with Floyd wanting to face Devon Alexander because they lost a lot of money on that shyt..that's the only reason why we are getting him vs a Mexican who has stamina issues but who has the biggest Hispanic fanbase today...when Floyd hangs up the gloves without facing Manny do you think people will overlook that? Of course not he'll be hounded by it for the rest of his days

De la hoya helped make floyd a mega star. No doubt about it. But its not like ppl/media were trying to build up a fighter to beat de la hoya. It was a interesting fight cause floyd had already established himself as da boxer in da world and he was going up in weight to fight the cash cow. Pacquaio who mainstream (again focus on the word mainstream) has to do with him being the fighter floyd is scared of and da fighter who can beat him

Few ppl believe that anymore, so hes back to where he was before floyds retirement pretty much.
