Did Floyd ever claim that Chad Dawson is a nobody?:patrice:

What it means is that Floyd is a student of the game and he KNEW who Manny Pacquiao was yet when Floyd did all that talk of of: "Where was he when I was winning belts" and "Manny Pacquiao was a nobody" yall repeated it, not knowing Manny was already a 4 division champion as well back then, and that Floyd was attending his fights and cheering for him:russ:
I'm sorry, I thought I was talking to someone who understood hyperbole. Carry on.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao nearly agreed to a 2010 fight, documents show - Yahoo! Sports

It was all on the table. And Manny walked away. Based on that, you can infer one of two things: He was scared of Floyd or he was scared of tests. Take your pick.
Did you even READ the article breh? Golden Boy (Floyd's promoter) is denying that a contract was ever sent in the 1st place:russ:

Why would Golden Boy lie about sending a contract? How does that benefit them?:dwillhuh:

Richard Schaefer, the chief executive officer of Golden Boy Promotions, said he did not recall sending a contract offering a 50-50 split.

"If we had a deal, how come we didn't have a fight?" Schaefer said when asked to comment.

Schaefer said he met Arum shortly before Thanksgiving in 2009 to discuss parameters of a deal, but said he didn't remember sending Top Rank a completed contract for signature that included a 50-50 purse split.

Funny thing the though, the article bring up the "stadium" that we all thought Bob Arum was lying about..............turns out HE WASNT:ohhh: The MGM wanted to build a stadium to hold the fight in like Arum said.

One of the different circumstances now is that the MGM Resorts, the owner of the MGM Grand (Mayweather's and Golden Boy's preferred venue) commissioned a study to examine the feasibility of an outdoor stadium with a greater capacity.

It released the study, titled "Temporary Stadium Study," on Feb. 7, a week after Mayweather announced during a hearing in front of the Nevada Athletic Commission that he would fight Cotto on May 5.

The study chose a 10-acre lot on the southern end of Las Vegas Blvd. across from the Luxor Hotel & Casino that would have seated 40,000 and which also would have been used for UFC fights, concerts and shows.

In January, before Mayweather announced he'd fight Cotto and talks were still going on for a potential Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, Mayweather CEO Leonard Ellerbe scoffed at the plans for a stadium in an interview with Yahoo! Sports.

Ellerbe called the stadium idea "a bunch of baloney" and said "we're talking about a temporary venue out in the middle of a dusty parking lot with bleacher seating."

Ellerbe did not return recent phone calls seeking comment.

[Dan Wetzel: Jail time could help Mayweather-Pacquiao happen ]

Arum said the stadium would have cost $20 million to build and estimated a paid gate for a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight at between $50-60 million.

MGM Resorts chairman and CEO Jim Murren and chief marketing officer Bill Hornbuckle were traveling and could not be reached for comment. However, Gordon Absher, the vice president of public affairs at MGM Resorts, said the company believes Las Vegas needs such a facility to host major events.

"The potential of a Pacquiao–Mayweather match-up highlights the need for a large capacity, 40,000-plus-seat stadium in our community," Absher said. "But a once-in-a-lifetime boxing match is by no means the only such event that could be hosted there. MGM Resorts supports the concept of a multi-purpose, 50,000-seat stadium currently being discussed at UNLV."

stadium-rendering-story.jpg
Yahoo! Sports obtained a rendering of a potential stadium to be constructed near the Las Vegas strip.

Top Rank president Todd duBoef said that even if after construction costs the temporary facility only generated the same paid gate as the roughly 16,000-seat MGM Grand Garden would, it would be worth it to allow more people to attend the event.

If the fight were to happen at the MGM Grand, almost certainly all tickets would be taken by corporate types and ticket brokers before the public had a chance to purchase them. As a result, the vast majority of spectators would be casino customers and VIPs and not general boxing fans.

"I'd like to make that a special week and have it be a celebration of the sport," duBoef said. "And it could be a Festival of Boxing and be like the sport's Super Bowl. It would allow more people the opportunity to be a part of it."

The largest gate in boxing history came on May 5, 2007, when Mayweather fought Oscar De La Hoya at the MGM Grand Garden. That fight drew a crowd of 17,078 and generated a paid gate of $18,419,2000.

That is an average of $1,078.53 per ticket. With the same per-ticket price, the gate at a 40,000-seat venue would be $43,141,356. Prices could climb because of a greater number of expensive floor tickets that would be available and the intense desire to see the fight.

Schaefer remains skeptical of the weather and noted that Clark County building codes only allow a temporary structure to remain erect for a year, making it difficult to have a rematch there. He also suggested that if the fight occurred, the promotion could have a fan festival that duBoef suggested by emulating the UFC and holding something in the convention area at sister property Mandalay Bay.

Oh wow that's really cool. Too bad Arum insisted on the fight taking place while Floyd was in jail.

He had sold more than Floyd/Hatton too... Hatton was the undefeated British superstar, and Floydie just fought De La Hoya not to long before, but his fight with Hatton couldn't even do a million ppv buys..

And whendetermining who is the biggest draw during any particular time, you have to look at the most recent figures. What has happened within the past 1-2 years 09.. Pacquiao was the draw.. Pacquiao was bringing in more revenue. Was more active. And Floyd wants Pac belt... bytch

Why do you keep bringing up floyd/hatton when it outsold pac/hatton in the US and UK combined by close to million ppvs? You're a tragic retard

Pacquiao was only an "overnight sensation" for those who dont follow boxing other than the boxer's HBO talks about.

BEFORE adding Alex Ariza to his camp, before the 2nd fight against JMM, Pacquiao already had 6 fights against prime Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, and JMM going 4-1-1....with the draw against JMM not being warranted because one of the judges failed to score the knockdown of JMM by Pacquiao in one of the rounds leaving the fight in a draw. If the knockdown was added to the scorecard and not mis-added, Pac would've been 5-1 against prime HOFers. Also, Pacquiao by that time was already a 4 division champion (Flyweight, Super Bantamweight, Featherweight, & Super Featherweight).

Pacquiao was never backing down bigger fighters either. He used speed and overwhelmed them with his work rate, speed, power, unconventional style of throwing punches.

He didnt knock out JMM in either of their 2 fights, De La Hoya, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, or Bradley since adding Alex Ariza to this camp. He has 3 KO's in 11 fights with Alex Ariza (27% ratio).....he has 35 in 50 fights without him (70%)

The numbers and the FACTS we all witnessed do not add up to a steroids user. Only way you can dispute the truth is with lies and that's what the Mayweather's spread on Pacquiao, because of Floyd's Sr's fear of watching his soon go up against a fast left hander......the only style, out of his mouth, that gives the shoulder roll problems.
if floyd doesn't retire
manny doesn't blow up
ofcourse boxing fans know who he is
but mainstream, he got famous because for some reason ppl think he had a chance with mayweather
the second he lost, they moved on to canelo
canelo atleast buiilt up his fanbase properly, and when he loses, he will still have a career
people did not care about pacquaio beyond him fighting mayweather

your making a lot of excuses for homeboy
if he took the test, there would be no issue
no test means your cheatinhg.

and floyd doesn't have a problem with left handers
stupid myth made up by bob arum that ppl like you latch on to. and floyd finds a way to win, shoulder roll or not. he not 1 dimensional like da other guy

what your simple ass dont realize is Floydie doesn't dictate what Manny Pacquiao makes in a fight, he doesn't have that kinda leverage.. he has to either deal with Top Rank, or move on

floyd wil dictate what he wants, whether its arum or whomever

floyd doesnt need pac anymore, that ship has sailed

if they ever fight, floyd is basically going to pimp out pac and thats as simple as it gets

First things first Floyd has issues with a good conventional jab....DLH says it erry damn fight, Cotto was able to land with it N if any of y'all boxed before either against the shell or using the philly shell you'd know that.... a left jab DOES not equal a straight left from a south paw:stopitslime:

As far as what Floyd said how is that a surprise?? PROMOTERS try N get options on fighters all the time how is this any different??? N obviously the fight wont happen until:deadmanny: is free from Arum

Now lets talk 2009 take the damn test N the fight is made end of fukkin discussion.

2 yrs later these nikkas come crawling to Floyd wanting the original deal..after making 876543 reasons why not to test, after looking like shyt N bad ppv sales Arum wouldnt release, after trying to sue, after talking shyt in the media N yall surprised shyt changed??

nikka turned down 40 million got put to sleep N still talks bout Floyd:snoop:

You gotta pay to do business N :deadmanny: no leverage having ass better sign to TMT if he wants to get paid:myman:
