Nas probably would pick Pac, he loves Pac, Nas seems kind of humble to me though. I've heard him put quite a few people before him.

Dear Mama is an incredible song, one of the best Hip Hop songs of all time in my opinion. I love Dance too, I could hear emotion in that from Nas.

The difference between dear mama and dance is the difference between Pac and Nas. Not to take anything away from him but Nas is often detached from the things he raps about, he takes the narrator approach where as pac brings you into the experience of what he's getting across. He's giving you descriptions, sights and sounds because he's observing. When I listened to 7DT I could feel the paranoia...when I listened to AEOM I could feel relief. He added a layer of depth that you can't really pull off when you're not really in the mix.

i remember pac said he read on how to write a movie so that helped him write a better story

so his storys has a begining middle and ending.

I go with Pac because Nas (even though he is one of my favourites) has never made an album I could rock with from start to finish...

Illmatic was a good album, I suppose, but the only song I take from that album is "New York State Of Mind," if I never again listen to the other songs, I feel like I am not missing anything...

"It Was Written" was a confused album, Nas had no clue if he wanted to go pop or not...Therefore, the album ended up half pop, and half that grimmey New York sound...If he had gone either way, he could of easily made a classic double LP, with 1 disc Trackmaster flashy production, and the other disc that grimmy New York sound...

"I am..." was the same as "IWW" but worse...

After that, I have not given a single f_ck about Nas' career...It's been wack to the point of no return...

He sounds average...Even if he has the greatest lyrics...When Nas steps to the MIC on a collabo, I don't feel like he is the SUPERIOR MC...He has no swag/allure/aura any more...

I don't think young kids of today (generally speaking) can really get into Nas' music, his legendary status in the game is what carrying him...

Pac on the other hand would fit right in with Trap Music, Drill Music, Crunk Music, Hipster Music Pac encompassed all these different styles effortlessly...

Hypothetically, I can hear Pac collabo with Waka Flocka, Cam'ron and Dipset, Lil Wayne,Mac Miller, Macklemore and Lewis, Odd Future, Drake, Young Jeezy, Kanye West, Kendric Lamar, Chief Keef, TI, Ludacris, Eminem, J Cole, Wale, Rick Ross...

Whatever genre of hip hop you want, Pac can bring you that "energy"...When you think about it this way, you have to see why dude was on another level, unless you are just a pure hate...

Great to see that this hasn't turned into a stan war so far. I'd have to give it to Pac by a slight edge based off the fact that Pac can make music to appeal to ANY demographic and don't sound forced our cliche. Pac covered the grounds of picture painting and storytelling, He's delivered Social Commentary, He knew how to made songs to appeal to the streets, He knew how to make songs that the women can appreciate and that the fellas can't front on.

Nas can't make those type of songs that can make the club rock like How Do U Want It, Toss it Up, California Love, or songs and when he did, They sounded out of his element(You Owe Me, Oochie Wally)

Nas has great songs to make you think, Very introspective songs and does a terrific job of crafting songs of painting street life but Pac had the ability to grab the heart and soul.

this it's pac's versatility that seperates him from nas

nas tried to made clubs songs like oochie wally and owe me but he failed awfully at that so pac gets the edge from me

Pac was so emotional with his rhymes and could paint a picture with his songs. Nas may have him on lyrics (though Pac was underrated there) and storytelling (and I had to think twice before i gave Nas that) but i think Pac is better everywhere else. As an overall MC i would have to say Pac is better. But nothing wrong with losing to perhaps the greatest MC ever.

nas is a better rapper and lyricist by far but 2packs is the better all around artist and makes more appealing songs......i dont think his henessy enemy flow would have lasted another 17 years like nas or jay though

Nas can do just about anything Pac could do....the same could not be said about Pac.
