u really must be on some shyt if u think Strickly for my nikkaz was better than Illmatic

u talking about hooks when none of the songs on Pac first album had them besides like 2 songs.

Illmatic > any Pac album
IWW > any Pac album besides MATW
but i'm not calling those ATG albums. and your opinions are comical. keep fighting the good fight. but nas will never pass pac in the eyes of the world

Ahhh! The alliteration verse. Dope shyt no doubt. Led off the album with it too - probably because of the perception that he was an average lyricist. I wish he would have rhymed like this more often. Precise flow too. Still, this ain't on the level of what Nas was doing on Illmatic and IWW. Any other examples?

How bright are you when you shooting at cops? No matter how you put it, people (however twisted they were) looked up to him. He was a role model and now there is a lost generation of thugs who won't amount to anything.

He was a slightly above average rapper that couldn't hang with LL, Kane, Rakim, D.O.C., Cube, KRS One, Scarface, Nas, BIG (not in this order).

Def Jef would eat his ass up!
Not sure about the Def Jef comment, but this is the perception that I've been talking about.

I take at least 2 Pac albums over Illmatic.
I would put Illmatic and It Was Written over any Pac album. Pac got more universally accepted classics though. 3 in a row actually - one being a double album. Nas ain't ever do that.

he did,but pac was spitting realer and deeper shyt on his first album than illmatic.
I don't see how, but I'll let you break it down for me track by track. I guess Nas rhymed a fair amount about rhyming on that first album? Is that what you're getting at?

never met a person that thought pac was average. i was born in 79' and lived through the 90's. pac been great lyrically. and i've already posted a song i thought could match it. And i'm not saying those nas songs were wack. He talked like pac couldnt spit like that and i responded.

Average in terms of being a lyricist or technical rhyming ability. He made classic songs plus he steadily improved. Still, history is history and facts are facts.
