2pac is the best song writer in hip hop history, and he also has a better discography than nas. nas was a better overall mc and released the best album out of the both of them, but you also must understand that big lit a fire under pac's ass and we never got to see the man's full potential because he was killed. we saw nas go from the greatest...to well whatever you would call him now. 2pac started out w/ his first album(pretty much forgetable) and ended it w/ quite possibly the greatest run in hip hop history from 94-96. basically what i'm trying to say is a battle between nas and 2pac in their primes is uncallable. we never got to hear nas diss someone else back then(unfortunately), and the best we got to hear from 2pac was an unreleased diss track going at multiple people. needless to say it would've went down as the greatest battle ever.
