List of awards and nominations received by Tupac Shakur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

^^^he actually was nominated in'96 but lost to f*ckin' naughty by nature of all people, how can you respect the grammys after that? :laff: That would be like me respecting the opinion of an Australian hip hop fan :pachaha: He did win the AMAs though :obama: And you do know Pac has his own exhibit at the Grammy Museum right? :pachaha: Where's Biggie's? :mjpls:

Anyways, for those who care....

:mjlol: you Pac stans will believe anything. last i heard it went platinum before the first day was over. it didn't win many awards, no grammys, no Source awards or anything, it didn't even get any mics in the Source when it came out!? it didn't even get a review in The Source mainly due to them not getting an advance copy but i don't remember them doing a posthumous review either

media props.
Actually, the media props came after that 3rd album. Aquemini (IMO) was their most complete album. (I think their first 3 albums were classic). Stankonia is when they became "media darlings."

the media props came from the very beginning. with the source giving SPCM 4 1/2 mics and trying to give em 5, before benzino blocked it. this was during the time period when doggystyle only got 4.

@bigbadbossup2012 this is what I mean by the media bias being geared moreso toward style before region.

back to the media darlings thing. they were automatically media darlings from jump. they were always marketed as a cross-genre group and they were the #1 rap priority of laface/arista.....yes, bad boy was under that machine as well but they were their own label.

You don't know,it's just your opinion. What are we supposed to KNOW? What facts are you presenting?

its common knowledge actually. you act like its some secret code that needs to be cracked.

no diss, but this goes back to what I said about you lacking perspective in previous threads.

You're still given unpopular opinions and trying to pass them as common knowledge. You may look at the bolded THAT WAY. me I'm gonna look at the fact that no one blocked illmatic. But they kept others away from perfect 5 Mic scores. And that scenario means nothing

Just think if Pac had signed to Ruthless like originally planned...:banderas:

That crazy to think about. Actually it kinda hurts to try to envision that. For the most part ruthless records let their artist have musical freedom. It was just gang shyt over there at deathrow aside from danny boy and a few others. Just imagining pac behind that hutch production is frustrating.
