They have pieces.

What pieces? Possibly Lopez but he's a big that isn't too good on the boards/D and has an injury prone past. As good as he is offensively, I doubt teams would be breaking the bank to get him.

Thad Young? Rondae Hollis-Jefferson? Thomas Robinson?

Lopez
Young
Hollis Jefferson

Jarrett Jack is an above average PG

They play in an elite city

Free agents like Brooklyn

They were just a playoff team last year.

They have a solid mix of vets, it's the youth that's their issue.

Breh you tripping you are the same ones saying that the 76ers didn't have pieces....But the Thad Young and Brook Lopez led Nets have pieces um no bro...Just no the Nets are the worst situation in the NBA...Having an owner willing to spend money means nothing if most others have money and I doubt that they throw a bunch of money at middling free agents.

The nets situation is dire I'd take the 76ers any day.
The 76ers are fools gold. For fans and NBA 2k players, it's great. For gms and coaches, not really.

Draft picks are a crap shoot due to them having the fit your personnel and trades are extremely hard to make in the NBA.

Coaches get fired coaching more talented extremely young players who don't know how to win. While teams like Brooklyn have players who have been to the playoffs and in some cases the 2nd round as their team best player. Let's not act like Lopez ain't in his prime.

Some GMs don't care about draft picks. Danny Ferry is a major one who doesn't. Brooklyn isn't in a terrible position. They are in a terrible position to win a NBA ring but that's not how most GMs or coaches judge themselves.

I don't see the Nets being any good for the foreseeable future.

Their solid mix of vets is: Lopez, Thad, Ellington & Jack...

Lopez is an all star big, one of the best offensive 5s out there, and has managed to stay healthy the last 2 sesons, which is good. He's not that old as well, but he's not really a franchise player as well, the Nets should probably look to get the best value out of him.

Thad Young is an above average player at best, not a great piece, especially when he's their 2nd best player right now. Ellington is mediocre at best..

Jack is not an above average PG... He's in the bottom half of starting PGs, he's already 32 and missed most of this season with an ACL injury. His contract is up next season and I doubt he stays in BK.

They made the offs last season, but they were a mediocre team at 38-44. The worst part is they were on a declining spiral and fukked up the moment they gave up too much for a Lopez/KG/PP/JJ/DW lineup and not won shyt. They have no youth going forward, and their draft situation is :dead:

Hollis is cool, but he probably won't be someone to build around. Not to mention he missed most of the season as well..

All this talk about elite city & BK is BS. The Knicks are far bigger, have a better situation and probably won't attract star free agents.

They're arguably in one of the worst situations for a team in the league.

That's not what people around the league think though. That's what fans think
