Lot of talk about his HOF potential...

As it stands, he's in his second Finals; has three trophies to his name; is a 3x All-Star and 2x All-NBA. Personally, he hasn't had a Springfield career, he's not a Top 15 player of his era. Though you could make the argument he's Top 20...

At any rate, The Hall is a lot more generous than I am. Two years ago they let Michael Cooper in and Pascal has a bigger role on his two Finals teams, than Cooper had on any of his. Pascal has more trophies than Vince Carter, one of the most overrated players ever. And he's probably as good as Chauncey was. So if you're going by even the recent inductees, Pascal qualifies...

So I'll agree that if Indiana somehow wins this series he's locked in, and he's probably already locked in as is...

He's got more work to do to make my personal list, though!
2x Champ
1x FMVP (possible/probable)
3x All-Star
2x All-NBA

This is a case but if he retired with this and became a priest in July this isn't a lock.

Even if the Pacers lose his resume fits alongside the three guys I named, so he's borderline as is, based upon what The Hall shows us is allowable. If you were the judge and jury though, does he meet your standards of a Hall Of Fame player? He doesn't meet mine...

You're disrespecting Vince and as overrated as I think Billups gets, Siakam does not have their resumes especially with a loss.

And we agree that by personal standards he's not a HOFer.

You know I'm not a Vince guy dawg šŸ˜‚ truly a guy spoken of in a light that he didn't achieve...

Siakam is near those guys as is...
You don't have to be a Vince guy to understand the gap.

No he isn't. Again Chauncey is overrated as far his ability in real time but his accolades are his accolades. Siakam doesn't have them.

Damn I didn't even realize Siakam made the All-NBA team twice :wow:

Yeah, another ring and a Finals MVP would def put him in the conversation for HOF IMO. When he's on, he's on...like we saw in that 39 pt game. But when he's off :scusthov:

Pascal is a very good player but it's crazy that it doesn't take much of a resume to be considered a Hall of Famer in the NBA. He's got good numbers but even with a ring he doesn't scream Hall of Famer to me. Of course he's fairly young with probably 3 or 4 years of good to elite play in him. So his numbers at that point probably will be undeniable though I will admit like others have said that he's probably in now regardless with another ring and especially if he wins the Finals MVP.

Also gotta remember it's the "Basketball Hall Of Fame" not the "NBA Hall Of Fame".

Is Siakam better than Toni Kukoc?
What about Chris Webber?

There are many players who are in the HOF that Siakam can challenge with couple more years All Star appearances and one more ring.
