dude getting 7.25 mill a year for another 4 first round exits
Outside of Luka the Pacers are better than the Mavericks
Say what you want, Rick Carlisle isn't a bad coach. He coached alot of contenders in the Pistons and Pacers before he coached the Mavs

Just didn't want him ANYWHERE NEAR the Celtics as a coach
Why not?
Mediocre coach at best, Dirk saved and extended his career in Dallas. :unimpressed:
Dirk does not win a title without Carlisle's coaching, he did nothing different than any other postseason, the team around him was perfect for him.

Good hire, fits the Indy mold and identity perfect. Will coach a super duper mediocre team of solid players but no real stars to the playoffs every year and they might win a series or two but will never really be a threat to win it all.

Its a good match the Pacers are trying to win now and he already has familiarity

Carlisle still one of the best coaches in the league too, Mavs FO where just all over the place roster wise in the cutthroat west after the chip....

Cap. The Mavs slept walked to that title bc of Dirk. The team around him was definitely perfect tho, the role players played a big part.

He did nothing different or above his norm. Everyone was on one and Carlisle coached a defensive scheme that was fukking with every superstar they played. The Dallas run was great but if there's any cap it's Dirk hitting this new height individually that he never saw before.
