What's ESPN's cut of that? I mean they're promoting this fight so Showtime can make money?

As far as if JMM was roiding...He offered PAC testing after Roach was throwing shade N them nikkas got mighty quiet

Let the rock solid commission do its job brehs. :deadmanny::brawklol:
Thats the same "rock solid commission" that caught Shane for the 2nd dlh fight right? :mjlol:

Stop using that example for this fight. Styles makes fight. Manny and JMM fought like 4 times and they pretty much knew the ends and out of each other. Doesn't matter if JMM can knock out Pac, I don't think Floyd can do it.

The bigger question to me with all of this is why is Floyd taking the fight now, his probably toughest challenge, at 38? Why did not do it 5 to 6 yrs ago. Please do not use the drug test and all of that. The Nevada Boxing Committee has a rock solid drug protocol in place and almost everyone who was dirty, whether it was illegal use of drugs or using Paris of Plaster got caught. Both was prime back then and Manny did not have to agree to none of Floyd's drug policies, just Nevada's. Floyd wanted Cotto for this fight but it fell through when he was going to fight Canelo. If you notice Floyd has been very quiet since all of this. He was all talk when the schedules did not line up, but now they did he had no choice but to take the fight. I just want to see a good fight. I think Manny will try to win it and I think Floyd will try not to lose it.

it's not just the ko Pac has had problems with Marquez since the first fight. He knocked him out because Pac became to offensive and became defensively irresponsible by jumping on with his hands down which he does a lot. I've never even fought in the amateurs just been training and sparring for the past 4 years and I smh at how bad pacs footwork gets when he goes on the attack and his opponent takes a half step back. He almost trips over himself . I'm pretty sure Floyd won't ko Pac but if caught him with the same punch it would be lights out

But it was the drug testing that's not even debatable his camp has admitted that. The fight would have happened if he took the test. He didn't have to accept it but the fight partly didn't happen because he didn't accept it. Which raises concerns.
Floyd could of made the fight with cotton because the talks on cotton vs Canelo broke down at least a month before the Pac fight was announced. I think he fights because he wanted to, the pay day, and the public pressure to a lesser extent.

You're obviously NOT a boxing fan for the simple fact you dismissed JMM landing the perfect counter shot (knocking Pacquiao out cold) and no punching power Bradley knocking Pacquiao in the air.....but act as if there is no way Floyd can hurt or possibly KO Pacquiao.:what:

Then you asked a stupid question about why wasn't the fight 5-6 years ago, hinting around as if Floyd didn't want to fight, even going as far as acting as the NSAC alone is good enough for drug testing when as far as that goes, its been said COUNTLESS times about why it didnt happen, and Freddie Roach has already said it was THEIR fault for it

LASTLY, you say Floyd really wanted to fight Cotto, but Cotto/Canelo negotiations basically messed up his plans, and he had no choice but to fight Pacquiao:dahell:

Oh yeah, then you say Floyd's been quiet. He was all talk when the schedules didn't line up, but now that they do basically he's scared???:mindblown:

How about maybe he's focused on the biggest matchup in his career?

I'm not in the mood to school you right now Pacquiao stan:camby:
You are more of a Floyd fan that an boxing fan I see. I am not a Pac fan like that like I stated earlier. I am a boxing fan and I call it how I see it. I was typing on my phone the last time so I could not say everything I wanted to say. I am going to breakdown your thread for you.

I did not dismiss JMM knocking Pac out cold. It happens to the best boxers everyday but a knockout does not make a break a career. How many boxers are in the HOF that are undefeated? Only one I can think of is the Rock and he is not even considered the greatest boxer of all time. Lennox Lewis got knocked out by Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman but did not affect his career not one bit. Pac got caught but hey you bounce back the next fight. He has been doing good ever since.

I do not recall Freddie Roach stating it was clearly their fault that the fight did not happen. Everyone puts the blame on Arum but I think it was both camps that are at fault here. I do think the drug test is a moot point as the NABC has its own procedure in place and none of this came with Manny until Floyd Sr, Floyd Jr and Paulie Malignaggi made a big deal about Pac's KO ratio while he was going up in weight. He never tested positive for anything. Floyd has also stated that if he wanted to fight him he would, he holds all the trump cards so your theory about Freddie Roach being the blame is a lie from the pits of hell.

Floyd initial plans was to fight Cotto for his JMW belt to add another weight class to his resume. But DLH put it in place for the Cotto/Canelo fight to go through. Manny had just beat Chris Algeri and neither one of them had a fight scheduled. Floyd had no excuse not to fight him this time. Pretty cut and dry topic with that one.

I do think that Floyd is focused for this fight, but not by choice. His back was against the wall with this one. When Floyd first made WW, he had a slew of people he did not fight that was prime in the division. Why didn't he fight Cotto(undefeated), Cintron(undefeated), Williams(undefeated), Margarito, The Viper? These are people he clearly avoided when he first got to WW. Also if he is so called the best, when he fought DLH he weight in at 150 at the weigh-in, how come he does not test his skills at 154? These are just some of the questions Floy fans fail to answer. We can go on all day bro, this is on you but I know my boxing. I am not hating on Floyd at all but if the greats go up in weight and fight the best, why can't him?

Also I go Manny in 12 UD also :myman:

Dan Rafael chat wrap 3/5:

Mayweather-Pacquiao:
- Still no tickets released yet.
- The L.A. press tour will be at the Nokia Theater.
- Was told it will not be shown in movie theaters.
- Next fight for each fighter after they go head to head? Certainly could see them doing a rematch. Expects the winner not to fight for the rest of 2015.
- Lomachenko will be on the undercard. Likely vs. Gamalier Rodriguez.
- The fight will likely be shown at the Mandalay Bay Events Center which will seat 10,000.
- Will do a pre fight story talking to the common opponents perspective on the two fighters.
- There is nothing in the contract regarding penalties if they come in over weight. Floyd would be stripped of his titles and be fined by the commission.
- Ellerbe is still part of Mayweather's team and is a big part of his promotions.
- A ton of coverage coming from ESPN. It will be by far the most coverage they have ever done for a boxing fight in his 10 years there.
- There is going to be overwhelming media demand for this fight. Small boxing websites that can usually get credentials are going to have a very hard time getting them for this fight.
- People in the gaming industry have said that May 2 will be one of the largest gaming days in the history of Las Vegas.
- Referee will be decided 3 weeks before the fight. Very likely it will be Kenny Bayless.
- Had Les Moonves not been such a big boxing fan there is a good chance this fight would not have been made.
