I don't think so...maybe he'll be there..it's a celebration for him, no matter what. I think he's filming by April again though....
I wonder who's he rooting for...

They're saying the ceiling for the fight is $400 million, I'm sure May/Pac are happy they waited.

wouldn't it have made more money with Pacquiao at his prime/peak? I wouldve paid arm and leg for that fight back then

Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez appeared on El Golpe a Golpe and discussed the big fight, Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao. The fight is now finalized for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Marquez faced both men in the ring. He was dominated over twelve rounds by Mayweather in 2009. He faced Pacquiao four times. They went to a draw the first time, with Pacquiao winning two controversial decisions in their following two fights. In the fourth meeting in 2012, Marquez visiously knocked out Pacquiao in the sixth round.

"We know that Manny Pacquiao is not at his best, but he is coming in with a lot of motivation, with a lot of hunger, but the level is not the same. After that big knockout in 2012, a fighter's mind can change. A big punch to the jaw and he can relive those moments of 2012. Hopefully this does not happen and it becomes a great fight for the fans who have waited, but in the end Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are not at their best," Marquez said.

"I'm not saying they are not [great fighters]. Floyd Mayweather is considered the best pound for pound, followed by Manny Pacquiao, but what I am saying is they are not at their best - athletically speaking - because that fight should have happened three years ago - but it remains as an interesting fight that all of the fans want to see."

"It's a very dangerous fight [for Mayweather], because he has not faced any opponent with the speed or aggression of Pacquiao, and in this case also with power. Mayweather has not faced an opponent with these characteristics."

"but but but Floyd beat Juan Marquez easily, so therefore he will beat Manny Pacquaio just as easy too!"

Lets hope Floyd finds those old school legs he use to have circa 2001..... he's gonna need it. :whew:

Sounds like you don't watch Floyd fight and/or you have visions of what you want to happen. Against a southpaw, he's in high guard and he'll be walking Manny down by the end of the second round, ripping shots to the solar plexus. It was written from the day this fight was ever thought of. Manny can't fight backwards and can't cut off the ring. The fukk is he going to do to Floyd? Ring Generalship will be clear by the end of round one and the aforementioned by round two. Floyd is bigger and longer, he will not be running on May 2nd.

"he(pacquiao) fights my leftovers." ......"but he beats them worse than you do."

"black people ride for you but i see the truth."

"undefeated means dikk, muhammed ali wasnt undefeated and he was a thousand times the fighter you are."

"here's the problem, you're not a very good offensive fighter so you gotta talk a gang of shyt outside the ring to get people to give a fukk about you."......so true:mjlol::russ::salute:

Tables going to be crazy. Entry level tables usually start at $3000 on Friday and Saturday night for most major clubs, gets about 10-15 in free depending on ratio of females:males for Mayweather fights, but for this fight might be more since they know someones gonna pay $5000 entry for 12 people pretty much :sadcam: we'll see.. just going off past Mayweather fights, id expect $3000 table service at major clubs (where entertainers are).

Some times you can eat real well at places that arent expecting a heavy crowd (but always end up packed because so many people are there).

Example: Mayweather had everything at the Hard Rock hotel last September, so of course pricing is crazy there. But Wale had a party at Chateau that Saturday. Chateau wasnt expecting such a big crowd so they lowered bottle mininums. We ended up with a 1.75 bottle of Belvedere and champagne for $600 :leon: Thats standard San Francisco pricing during Mayweather fight weekend in Vegas :leon: Of course it was still packed too :yeshrug:

If you see a party hosted by say Diddy, Rick Ross and Meek Mill - yeah thats gonna be the main party but if you see one hosted by say Fabolous and Big Sean, it might not be the "main" party, but itll still be packed and a lot cheaper

Clubs I work at:

Marquee
Tao
Drai's
and The Palms

The Palms might make a move here (Mayweather always dedicate his parties to 1 hotel during a fight. Last year was Hard Rock, the year before was The Palms).

The Palms has 2 clubs reopening this year (Rain and Moon). Rain is set up to open Memorial weekend (3 weeks after the Mayweather fight). Im thinking they might open it up for this weekend and have the main party for Mayweather there (could be wrong, but thats what im guessing).

I do watch Floyd... before he bores me to death and puts me to sleep. But here's another "vision" for you:

Floyd's strength in this fight, is too STAY in the center of the ring and use his high guard to pot shot/counter Manny. Then circle around the ring and NOT get near the damn ropes. Which is why I brought up his legs.

At the same time your neglecting Manny's exceptional footwork. Floyd is NOT fighting a slow plodding donkey (Guerreo, Canelo, Maidana). Manny uses ALOT of lateral movements to get where he wants. He's gonna jump on Floyd and set the pace of the fight.

Manny's gonna be pretty much everywhere in the ring. Just hope and pray Floyd doesn't decide to lean against those ropes.
The real question does Floyd have the power to put Manny away or at least keep him off bay? Margarito, Cotto, Rios, Bradley, etc... All these guys couldn't do it. So Floyd gonna knock Manny out all of sudden? Why's because he's smaller? He's gonna make Manny fight backwards? Really? :heh:

How is Floyd gonna respond when he feels Manny's power? What about those feints, speed, and movements/angles? He gonna dodge all those punches dawg?

Watch Sugar Shane who has a respectable chin. He took Floyd's punches and kept coming. He didn't do that against Manny. That fukker was roller skates the whole entire night. Even admitted after the fight "he never felt that kind of power before."

"He (Floyd) will not be running on May 2nd" :pachaha:Okay dawg, we'll see........
