BT: Big Floyd, obviously a lot of fans are excited about this fight between your son and Manny Pacquiao. They've been waiting a long time for it. Now that it's actually been finalized and announced, how do you feel about it?
FMSR: Listen man, the fight could've really done been on a long time ago. We done been talked about that. It's just the whole thing is, man, Bob Arum been in the way. A lot of people don't know it, but Bob Arum been in the way. To be honest, man, I'm not excited like everybody else is excited. I'm not excited like that. I'ma tell you why I ain't even excited; because I already know what it's going to be and what's going to happen. It's already done. It's done!
BT: So you don't think it's going to live up to the hype that people are expecting?
FMSR: It's nothing like that. This is going to be a one-sided deal, man. Pacman gets his ass whooped, simple! I'm just telling you what it is. If he ain't doing what he been doing with these other fighters, if he ain't doing that, then hey, he don't have a living chance on this planet.
BT: Do you think this is an opportunity for your son to really make a statement and silence his critics once and for all?
FMSR: Oh, definitely! That's what this whole thing is all about because it's the biggest fight ever. He's going to shut mouths, believe me. He's going to shut a whole bunch of mouths.
BT: Do you think Floyd needed this fight, or a rival like Pacquiao, in order to define his legacy?
FMSR: To be honest with you, man, Floyd done already made his legacy. To be honest, I mean, don't get me wrong about the Pacquiao thing because I'm not scared about that at all. Everybody all hyped and geeked, they will see how easy this fight is going to be. I'm just telling you right now and I'm saying this right now, ain't no way he can whoop Floyd. That's that. BT: When you see Pacquiao today compared to where he was 5 or 6 years ago, do you see any decline in his skills or does he look like the same fighter he's always been?
FMSR: Let me tell you something, man. What I see is, first of all, the man ain't knocked nobody out in five years. He ain't knocked nobody out in 5 years, and the same guy that knocked his ass ice cold, for 12 rounds, Floyd beat him 12 rounds easy. So man, if he was struggling with Marquez then, that boy ain't got a chance in hell. I'm just telling you the truth, man. It is what it is.
BT: I never realized how much smaller Pacquiao is than your son until I saw the two of them meet for the first time at that Miami Heat game.
FMSR: Well he's going to look smaller than that when Floyd gets through with his ass. We gonna chop him down some more.
BT: Lately, it seems like Manny is trying to be a more technical fighter. He's starting to think a lot more inside the ring. Personally, I don't think that would be a good strategy for them to use, but...
