He was referring to the Floyd vs Maidana 1 outcome which Floyd lost 5 rounds even after forcing Maidana to wear pillows:sas1:

Newzz knew Maidana was gonna give Floyd that trouble though, while everyone was talking all that "Floyd gonna destroy him nonsense" before the 1st fight:sas2:

Ariza Shakes:ohlawd:

Maidana won 4 rounds and landed only 20 percent of his punches like every other opponent floyd's fought

Upon first viewing I can see why people say FLoyd had trouble and why they wanted rematch
but after reviewing the fight, it was another clear easy victory, only thing rough about the fight was the HEADBUTTs, THE KNEES, and the ELBOWS

He fought him the same way he fought Jesus Chavez, but none of you casuals ever bring up that fight because you never heard of floyd when he fought him

Just like you never considered pacquiao a GOAT level fighter until he built his legacy on vacant titles and catchweights

It's gonna be a clear cut Floyd victory.

Might look like Floyd vs Canelo....a boring but clear victory for Floyd Mayweather:wow:
I agree with a clear cut W but this fight will not be as easy as Canelo...

Canelo was a straight forward orthodox slugger...In terms of style and unique ability Canelo was nothing special or anything Floyd hasn't seen before...

Pacquiao's got speed and he's a lefty that lands power punches from awkward angles...We saw how Maidana's awkward punches caught Floyd by surprise...Floyd also does struggle somewhat with lefties, he was KD (unofficially) by Zab and Corley even rocked him...He started very slowly against Zab, it took him 5 rounds to get his timing right...I expect Floyd to be very cautious in this fight which means the rounds will be close...As long as he stays off the ropes he will win rounds comfortably though...Anytime he is pinned Pacquiao will get points just for letting his hands go...A loud crowd can sway a judge, so that may be enough for Pacquiao to steal a round or two...

I can't believe people think Floyd is just gonna wash Pac like that. I have it 115-113...116-112 at most. If he wins 118-110 or better, he really should be considered in the TBE argument. Pacquiao is no joke. He was robbed against Bradley and took a shot against JMM. Mayweather will have to take a lot of damage to win rounds.

Nope but I know how a few of the Floyd stans operate around here, these were the same nikkas saying Maidana was going to be easy work, then all of a sudden after he gave Floyd a tougher than expected time Maidana became a killer and not the dude who took Ls to Devon and Khan :shaq2:

We already had dudes in here saying that even if Manny were to beat Floyd, Floyd still gets ranked higher all time :dead: you can't make this shyt up.

yeah the floyd mayweather fanbase on here is unique in a way..the majority of them when they talk boxing gives them the rep they have above..like for example....the stans were bytching and moaning when maidana was roughing up floyd but after the fights were done were praising him and giving him props for being an improved fighter an dshyt when i dont think most of them knew who he was until he beat the breaks off broner lol,,that type of shyt

They're trying to figure out how they can fix it so Floyd wins by a highly disputed decision and then they have a rematch where Floyd wins more decisively . . I mean they don't have a follow up opponent in all of boxing that can help Floyd go out any bigger than this on his last fight . . think about it? Think he's gonna go out on a downhill slide after the biggest fight of his career?

Thurman in September if he beats the Ghost. Floyd isn't giving a shyt about this fight in that perspective. 49-0 or 50-0 is all he cares about.

Floyd dominated zab, this shyt is a misconception

he completely took way his jab by the second round, and only lost rounds due to lack of throwing punches, you acting like zab was in there whooping him
zab only landed 18 percent of his total punches, and let's not forget zab was 154 pounds in the ring
maidana was 165 the first fight, and 156 the second fight, and you saw the difference

manny has never been in the ring with somebody weighing over 150, floyd been walking down legit jr middleweights

manny couldn't pin bradley down how he gonna pin floyd lets be serious, if bradley was any type of counter puncher he would've KO'd manny

The fact maidana fight had a rematch clause and this one doesn't is telling

it's gonna be a one sided wipe out, mark my words

Hold up . . titles . . will the belts be on the line?

Floyd Mayweather has the WBC and WBA . . Pacquaio has the WBO - if the titles are up for grabs Mayweather could get this belt then take on Kell Brooks (IBF Welterweight champion, undefeated) . . and we'll have a truly unified champion in the welterweight division . . presiding over all four major organizations
