Paid Streaming Services have made mixtapes irrelevant

People are on some 1 stop shopping shyt with how they consume music now and it's hard for something that's solely released on a mixtape site and not Apple,Spotify and Title to gain traction

am I wrong or do people still care about mixtapes?

the hood will always find its way to a free mixtape

i see where your getting at as far as establishing a "name"..

but for that initial boost, you gotta let the streets sample to get that initial traction

I have both DatPiff and tidal .
Honestly it blows me when a mixtape isn't on tidal .

But I can't say everyone isn't still using sites like that .

They get tons of traction !!!!

I know i be like fukk it if its not on tidal , i just hate the my mixtapez and dat piff apps. I know clearing samples probably a hassle tho I would imagine that's why some artist dont put their stuff on the streaming sites

Being on paid sites isn't the only way to blow up with mixtapes.

But when you do get some traction, the paid sites will usually pick up your shyt.
