That means the van had 7.5 seconds to react and do what exactly?
Go all the way from the left lane into some trees?
Brake and still end up under the trailer?
Jump out of the car and still die?

Nah, you see if I was driving the minivan, I would’ve braked sharply, power slideded under the semi akin to the Fast And Furious movies and drove off like boss.

I don't think he realizes how many feet a car traveling at 70 miles per hour needs in order to come to a complete stop. I think the van driver probably wasn't aware since he didn't seem to slow down or try to move rightward, but I don't know if he even would have made it had he tried to swerve.
