They are on an interstate probably going 70 or 80 miles per hour. If you are braking at that speed you will need time to stop. It is not instantaneous. You will need time to stop. On top of that the truck was blocking all of the lanes, so no evasive maneuver could be implemented by hitting the shoulder or the median. That truck driver is an idiot and should do jail time and then be deported.
Biggest idiot of all time. I can't believe he did that

Yupp. If you look at where his trailer is, he was on the left lane, not the right lane

So you can make the conclusion he made a very quick u turn without any warning. Most likely, the car in the picture was going a similar speed as the truck (maybe 50-60 mph), so that u turn caught that car by surprise, no way to react in time going that fast
i dont think a 18 wheeler can make that u turn without slowing down first or else it would tip over

the mini van had to be distracted

edit: just rewatched it, van did not slow down at all def distracted. pajeet was making the uturn at 20-30mph. still a dumb ass move by pajeet

both passengers in the van had to be asleep or distracting the driver while being distracted themselves because two passengers not yelling to warn the driver means they weren't paying attention either. the odds are crazy. from the point in the video footage the car appeared all it took was 5 seconds before it hit the truck. :francis:

It was a toll road, so he was trying to avoid having to drive 5 miles to the next exit……I hope trying to save $5 was worth it bro.

│ It was the Florida turnpike so they have legal turnarounds every 45 miles or so. All they had to do was wait for the next rest area.

│ Edit:

│ If you're planning on replying to this comment to complain about a 45 mile detour, please go back and read the comment I'm replying to which clearly states that there are regular exits on the turnpike. The difference is that you have to pay a toll and the exit might not be easy for a semi to navigate.

│ │ The crash was around the 171 mm, Yeehaw Junction (exit) is 191 , Fort Drum Service Plaza is at the 184 mm and the next exit was Fort Pierce at the 152. He could have waited.

Well, have you seen other immigrant truck drivers in America make those type of turns?
Yes I have personally seen this.

Anytime I have seen some Indibrehs doing dumb shyt behind the wheel it was behind some nondescript, usually run-down, rig they were driving from some other Indibreh who owned the truck and gave them a job. They never work for bigger companies bc they can't speak or read any English.

I worked with an Indibreh who could and he could drive though so there is a right and wrong way to do this.

2019 Lakewood semi-truck crash - Wikipedia

I remember when this happened also. That company was hiring bullshyt drivers like what people who are on the road in this thread are complaining about. I remember hearing at the time the driver in this accident couldn't read the signs either but I don't know if it is true. But the company did hire drivers who fit the bill. He just is not one of them I am sure about.
