They use real time metrics based on radio spins, digital plays, streaming plays, etc. An artist with a sustainable top ten single usually makes enough money that could/should set them up for life (granted nikkas blow money on dumb shyt but).

beyond the flow, I don't really hear it anymore. Everyone and I mean everyone in the industry has been biting flows, hell I remember big sean bringing back flows from back in the day and nikkas scooped that up hella quick.
