That, and the likes of the public got tired of that old grimey NY sound. They like the 808s and big booty hoes and tricking and all kinds of bullshyt. Now that the south movement is dying down in popularity and lyrics is getting popular again, regionalism is all but gone. Pap wants to have regionalism back cause that is the only way that he can selfishly get back on the spotlight.

Papoose suffered the same fate as Saigon, Tru Life, Maino. The New NY emerged around the time where the South movement was becoming full throttle and the labels no longer wanted to market that.

unlike Saigon, Tru Life and Maino....Papoose went from being the dude who had next, and was to bring NYC into a new era of street conscious lyricism driven rap.... to having to resort to pathetic grabs at attention to get anybody to listen to his shyt.

we can't even blame it on the South making his brand of music not worth marketing.... cause in the 8 years since Papoose has had next...we've seen Joe Budden dig his career out of the grave,go independent and claw his way back to a level of respectability in hip hop.

I really wish some of you would READ, think, and then post. I said Big Sean can act like a bigger artist than Papoose because he sells more records. He is the bigger artist. He gets spins on the radio, people know who he is. Papoose on the other hand isnt.

I didn't say Big Sean was better than Papoose because he sells more records. He's better than Papoose because Papoose makes generic, boring ass new york punch line mixtape raps. This isn't 2004.

And absolutley nobody would be entertained seeing Jcole and Diggy battle which is why nobodys calling for it,if we just wanted fukkery we'd be asking for that beef to go 10 rounds too....plenty of people are calling for Kendrick to respond to SOMEBODY after calling himself Makaveli offspring and teasing like he wuz bout to wreck nikkas....and plenty of people are saying he doesn't need to respond as well

He does, it surprised me aswell. Apparently he flipped 1.5 mil he originally got from whatever label he was signed to with investments and has approx 8 mil right now
