Love
My only disappointment was the lack of forced punchlines. It seems like he took the criticism and kept that stuff off his album

We will agree to disagree. I respect it.

Time to play Papoose - Lock In because I miss that flow he had on that song I never really heard it again on the following mixtapes :sadcam:

Papoose- Lock In - YouTube

really this is not an example of flow.
as pap is offkey, and you really have no flow when you are offkey.
pap just is a really good wordsmith and has good technical skills for the era he came up in.
which he uses to try to hide his other low level skill in other much needed areas of emcee'n.
that real talk,..
if pap got on key, and learned to pocket his flow for real, on any sonic landscape.
plus how to write for sonic landscapes out of his comfort zone, of ny ghetto boom bap.
he could have easily been like the next guy who really was worth any of the hype he generated.

real talk,...pap was not really as dope as the guys on take'em to war with g rap.
so when he showed up on roots of evil, with g rap.
as the next g rap feature,..
that after take'em to war..
created a rubrick of how dope you have to be to be an unknown to appear with a legend like g rap.
i reallly knew where to place, off that performance and he really never matured as an emcee, ever.
i have never given him much of a distinction as a great rapper like that.
imo...he needed to be better than the guys on take'em to war and really never did that.
plus he has no real flow, and is always offkey.
to the point that all you hear is someone yelling at you.

which has been huff as hell since, like 88.
which at this point and more than fifteen years later.
since pap's debut appearance with no real ramp up skillwise in other areas of note.
is inexcusable from a skills standpoint.
i do not give anyone any props for being offkey.
as enough time as passed by that rap has forty years of study you can apply yourself to the pillar of emcee'n...
so,..if you are still lacking in some area.
you need to work harder and brush up on your skills.
the day of the pass, and grace period to see if you get better is over.

no passes,...
rap is forty years old,...
if you can not study the history of rap on youtube with a smartphone.

nikka, fukk listening to you at all, period......

art barr

no more passes,...
if by the first listen you are not dope,..
i will not listen, again.....
i promise you that..

Art Barr you know u been waitin on this since you were 40

nikka,...
i was done with pap after roots of evil as a hopeful.

nikkaz forget,....
i was with the person who does what pap could do..
plus wrote better, and had real classic records, and spit off the head better than pap's whole skillset.
a full decade before pap was relevent on the mixtape scene.
plus made freestyling and hearing freestyles on the radio to recorded material a draw.
that created the mixtape freestyle era drawing period relevent with the sway/tec freestyle wakeup show cd.
that spawned this gen's fascination with hearing the freestyle format on record.
that soon gave way to the parody/jacking for beats song mixtape format,..
that pap got not for and a draw from.

pap is not anywhere near awe-inspiring for me like that.

never was, and he never improved to ever make me care.

if you are offkey,....
those rhymes are meaningless because they will never get heard on the production.
which means you just gave three verses of incorrect answers and failed the test.

I would like to do a full review of this when I am done listening. I have gone through over half of the album. Started off very strong, then wack tracks came in. Some of the beats are terrible or generic...but worse than that...Pap is at his best when telling a story or narrative. Those tracks are dope. Its his freestyle raps that come off corny and dated. So as I said, the album started good but overall, a lot of trash filler and bad songs are ruining the good start.

props on the parody of the original art barr animated banned avatar.

which is how i made the hof city of god one,.....

cool. that means only about 5 more years til we oughta have that jay electronica album then.

prolific posting...

fukking biter ass jay electronica...
needed killa priest to drop.
so he could have some more material to drop.

killah priest discography is so limited,...
jay electronica needed more source material to bite.
then wait some years to try to pass his bites off as his own original material.
when we all know better.
