I don't know how the algorithms in Youtube work. I started watching full Sanford & Son episodes on Youtube and then wham I start watching Parenthood episodes in my feed
It's like they took the sappiness of Full House and mixed it with slightly better writing. Faizon's moments were the only time I legit laughed during the show. Zaria was eye candy but the show and its jokes were maaaad corny. I'll give it props cuz they made 100+ episodes so they are syndicated but it wasn't a good show. For instance we don't discuss when talking about Cosby, Fresh Prince, Sanford & Son, Wayans bros. We talk more about Zaria than anything else from that show.

Reaching OP. Parenthood was more of just a "safe" show in the mist of Wayans and whatever the hell that was on the WB at the time. Full House was just the Olsen Twins show with people in it

Breh I just realized that. I swear any and everything from ole dude getting shot to fukking toe jam issues, it's always "tune into NEXT WEEK

.
I understand the significance of Robert Townsend (5 Heartbeats, Hollywood Shuffle etc) but I never found him funny to begin with. I saw the Partners in Crime special, and I saw Hollywood SHuffle a couple months ago and had to turn cuz the humor was so outdated. I get he got a lot of black comedians work in the 80s but he was more succesful as a director and producer than in front of the camera talent.
. Sure some of the jokes are
, but the grim reality is the fact that there's still shyt like this going on in Hollywood and that movie alone is like the red pill of what really goes down with black folks trying to get work in the film industry
