I hope the youth of Fla. turns out like they did last night if Cheeto dares to show his face in Parkland.

I hope these kids keep their foots on these r necks.
:pacspit:
Here's the problem though, the youth of Florida already don't like Trump. Trump did not win the young vote in Florida. It's not about if the youth hate truth, it's about whether people who like Trump now will hate him after all of these shootings - spoiler alert: no.

Also Trump doesn't decided public policy in Florida. Ok they hate Trump - but y'all elected Marco Rubio. Ok they hate Trump - but y'all elected Rick Scott.

The white youth hate Rick Scott, but their white parents love Rick Scott. Regular backwards ass white people shyt.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
What kind of restrictions/laws are people proposing?
IT DOESN’T MATTER!! There will NEVER be a time to talk about gun regulation in this political environment. The NRA owns the government, and they aren’t looking to lose 1 red cent. There is no such thing as healthy gun reform deabate/conversation. It is the hill that 99% of GOP are willing to die on, and unfortunately, the Dems, well at least a good percentage of them, refuse to die on that hill, which is crazy. Even Chris Murphy, who is probably the loudest, after sandy hook, that should be his main priority. It has been how many years since that? And what has he done except get up and talk? If it is that important to him, which I don’t doubt it is, he needs to DO something! How can the MSM have all these stats and facts, and video montages ready, and he and his staff aren’t out there every second of every day completely destroying these folks. Time to get on the floor and start really calling these folks out. You have tried to build enough bridges, start burning them. Hire private investigators, dig up all the dirt. Go after family members and thier troubled past. Play hardball, be despicable, risk being hated by the GOP, cause guess what, they hate you anyway. We need some vigilance.

breh I've made my views on this topic known and I agree with you. Like I've said over and over again, one of the fundamental weaknesses we have in this country is that when confronted with a problem we are more likely to propose policies/reactions that are tailor made to prevent the incident that has already occurred, rather than creating a strategy to tackle the problem itself. We treat the symptom and not the sickness.

I've started to see ramblings on reddit and FB about High School students staging walkouts at schools until this issue is properly addressed. I hope it happens and I'd encourage my kids to participate...

#studentwalkout

EDIT: I wonder if there is any case here for a class action type lawsuit against the Govt and/or politicians.....especially those who have obviously taken $$$ from the NRA...

I’m to the point now, that conversation/debate is honestly part of the problem. The current government/GOP decided when Obama was president, that working in good faith was no longer an option. We just can’t count on these folks to keep their word on ANYTHING. The second amendment was created to specifically combat what we are currently going through. So the people could rise up if the government failed them. All responsible gun owners, and patriots that believe in the second amendment should gather, organize, and use the amendment to force our government to act on this. This is not a hobby, this is not for hunting, this is not for insecure pussies to feel powerful, this is for defending your family from hostile powers, be it foreign or domestic. These fukking dumbfukk cowards are actually calling for teachers to have guns in the classroom, and the popular “feel good” talking point at this very minute is to have 3 armed retired vets, or police in every school in America, because vets or police would NEVER hurt kids, give me a fukking break, we as a nation can’t do anything to help vets with PTSD, our VA is a fukking joke, and we are to believe that every single retired vet or law enforcement passes the purity test and they are all heroes? We treat people in this country with mental illness like how people with aids were treated in the 80’s. I know I’m rambling, but I’m angry, and I’m sure you and a lot of other people on this board are, too. The point is, every single responsible gun owner in this country should be calling for gun reform, and should be calling out what the NRA has become. The NRA sees that they are untouchable right now, so instead of policing their own, and actually calling for tougher restrictions, which is what any company/group would do in light of these awful things that have been happening, they dig thier heels in. This is so fukking evil.

Interesting point posed. Should a nationwide boycott take place where parents keep their children out of schools until guns are taken off of the street? :jbhmm:

The activist in me says :blessed:

But the adult in me says this would be a terrible idea because it just hurts kids, and it puts the disadvantaged in an even tougher spot. Skipping school as a protest is a middle class/upper class luxury.

I didn’t learn shyt in school to be honest. 95% of what I learned in the classroom before transferring to UCF is shyt that I forgot. Pointless writing exercises and courses that’ll never see any use by the students unless they get a degree in that field and work in a related industry. It’s not a place for smart people.

The people elect politicians. The NRA doesn't own anyone. Can the NRA get a gun loving Republican elected to the US Senate in NY?

Chris Murphy is one man. Senators don't decide policy, they just vote on it. You're not passing a single piece of gun reform at the federal level without 60 democrats.

Secondly CT has passed laws after Sandy Hook to prevent another Sandy Hook: What's Been The Impact Of Connecticut's Gun Laws After Sandy Hook?
