.....Pascal is gonna be one of the top players of the 2020s. This dude is about to become a perennial All-NBA player and will be one of the faces of The League in a couple years. Personally, I have a suspicion as his body and game matures (still as few years from his peak), he's gonna rival Giannis as best player in the East...

So Giannis better win and win it soon, cause my boy Siakam, when his game matures, is gonna be a problem for dude...

Either way we bout to see what it’s hitting for. No excuses, Masai and the raptors have full confidence he can carry a franchise on his back. With the core pieces in place still and the east being weak it’s a L if the raptors don’t finish top 4 seed in the east

I didn’t look at the on/off splits cuz I watched every Raptors game last year (except against NYK cuz...well it’s the Knicks). Pascal always filled in nicely with Kawhi out.

That said, anyone expecting Siakam to live up to that contract this year may be disappointed but next year and especially the year after I’ll bet that Pascal is a player wholly deserving of his payday.

Nah dont do that B...he was getting a max next year regardless in RFA..by doing it now they save themselves being locked into a 5th year with a PO...if he has an all star season it would have been 5/170....also by doing it now you avoid the Kings/Hield and Pacers/Sabonis situations hovering over ur head.....and lets not forget Utah lost Hayward because of this exact thing...anyone in here saying its a bad deal is a fukkn moron who doesnt understand the business side of the NBA.....

You need another legit go to scorer to go w/ Zion, it’s not like people are dying to come to NOLA, and Zo doesn’t have the ceiling to be a 1 or 2 scoring option.

I'm not making that assumption. That's a team that isn't gonna have issues scoring. If that's all Ingram can bring to a team (and not even efficiently), why pay him?

and the idea of "well nobody else is dying to come here" is not a good reason to overpay someone who ain't worth it. He's a below average player. His pay should be commensurate with that. If another team wants to max him, they're probably a bad team who makes bad moves like maxing Ingram.

Haha I don’t disagree fam. All I’m saying is nikkas is judging this signing based on production they expect to see THIS year and truth be told, you’re gonna get some of that but you’re also probably gonna get some struggle games. But NEXT year and subsequent years this contract gonna look like a genius move. And like you said, forecasting to the future, it’s definitely a wise investment, preserves the relationship, keeps the vultures away and is a great move for our cap situation. I ain’t worried but shyt and dumb ass hot takes cuz like you and everyone else in Raptor nation knows, Siakam is the real deal.
