Kawhi first tried to have him flipped for PG and Westbrook before leaving. And the word was that Kawhi just didn’t think Siakam was a good enough running mate to win championships with (but somehow thought Paul George was)

:duck:LINK?

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME
IVE EVER HEARD THIS

apparently its true\\

Bruce Arthur of the Toronto Star reported the Thunder "asked for Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, and four unprotected first-round picks as a starting point for Paul George. The Raptors believed they were being used as leverage, and believed Kawhi finally, truly wanted LA. And then he left."
Instead, OKC sent George to the Clippers for multiple first-round picks, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari, per Wojnarowski.

i actually do remember this now but didnt know westbrook was involved

He's always been good and his skillset fits perfectly for a team like Pacers. He's elite in transition and eats there, can get you points in half court here and there where Pacers don't have to rely on him every single play. A lot of teams could have had him when Raptors were trading him but they underrated him and were lowballing. I know Warriors could have had him if they added Kuminga.

Underrated and versatile on both ends of the floor.

He’s not an elite scorer.

Like another breh said it works well for him in Indy because you have other players around him that are also versatile and it’s also still kinda considered Halliburton’s team even though Spicy P is much more consistent.

Spicy P was underrated in that Toronto run a few years ago too with being a very solid number 2 to Kawhi’s number 1.

His game isn’t super flashy, he’s good scorer but not elite, and he’s played on small market teams so he flys under the radar.

Spicy P is who a lot of people think Draymond was.
