Is not tipping that real/common a thing?

In my 23 years of life, I've only not tipped twice when going out. I think it physically causes me pain not to tip people.

Yes, it is. Believe me. Once you work in a resturant you notice how much people don't tip or undertip.

Once I went out with a friend who gave them hell, it was embarrassing as fukk. Then she wouldn't tip. My other friend and I had to make up the difference. BS.

Damn. Luckily, I only had a brief stint at a local bar/restaurant as a server/bartender. The place was so small that I was usually the only person working so I got 100% of the tips. Sure there would be a person or two who would stroll in for a beer and not leave a tip, but generally people were in the 15-20% range constantly. One time this group came in, spent $40, gave me a $100 and told me to keep the change.

The check was for $200 and the cheap bytch tried to have the restaurant split the tabs to avoid the %18. And they still slapped her with it. You're talking $2 a person this bytch made a gripe about.

I tip between 15%-17% depending on how I'm feeling, I do think tips should be earned though. Horrible service = no tip and never returning to that place again.

Another thing that rally grinds my gears about this story is that the bytch had the nerve to say she "gives god 10%" She's the pastor of her own store front church with a 15 person congregation. Her "10%" goes into her own pocket or to pay rent for that shythole "church", on top of the 10% she's milking from her congregation.

Yep. I have worked in food service and I refuse to go out with people who are cheap and/or don't tip. My thing is, if you don't want to pay for the service, cook at the house or take yo ass to Mcdonalds.

Even if I get the worst service known to man, I will still tip the minimum out of respect.
