No one in these threads ever talks about the effect that listening to drill music had on them:jbhmm:

Why aren't you running in the streets like the others that listen to that music? :jbhmm:

It’s a numbers game. Most people know it’s entertainment. Then you don’t need THAT many to take it seriously to ruin it for everybody

You’re stupid. The reason I wasn’t born in NYC or DC was the crack era

And you're a nut hugging wanna be politician who can't get their stories straight..

I feel like no one would believe it.

It’s the reason I wasn’t born in NYC or DC for example. My mom was like yeah we’re going down south.

What?

Listen I have relatives that were in this shyt. Swiss cheesed in Brooklyn and DC.

I was born in the middle of it. I get it.

You run your stupid mouth too much.

Why is the 70’s your only decade of reference? It’s clear the breakdown of society began in that decade.

Also although there wasn’t any hip-hop at that time that time period saw the release of the movies Scarface and Superfly which have been cited by countless hustlers and rappers as an inspiration. There’s a lot to it but media in all forms plays a factor in shaping attitudes and behaviors.

How about the violent rates of crime in the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s? :jbhmm:
That's the point, I used the 70's as an example because the crime rate was high even before hip-hop was introduced years later and gangster rap was introduced after that. The 70's and 80's were a fukked-up period with multiple factors that made environments fukked up so I guess rap is to blame for that also? You named Scarface which is a movie alot of people said got them into hustling, no hip hop is involved with Scarface at all.

If all hip-hop ended today, you think crime will stop hell no.

Yeah, from going to community oriented values of Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movement to cutthroat "I got mines, fukk you!" mentality of the Ronald Reagan Administration to get material possessions meant for Europeans. Even the basis of materialism gotten 1000 times worse in the Crack Epidemic.
See but this grew from the split in the black civil rights movement.

You had a socialist wing and a business wing. That’s why Nixon had so much relative black support.

That’s how you get the Claude Anderson and Andrew Young wing vs what became of the black panthers and academic leftist wing.
