the chiefs did get better but let’s not forget before he got injured he was on pace to break his 2018-2019 passing record

Patrick Mahomes was on track through six games to break the single-season passing record. Mahomes has thrown for 2,104 yards in the first six games, which puts him on pace to throw for 5,611 yards that season.

If. If. If.

All I know is he went from 50 TDs in 2018 to 26 TDs in 2019. That's a huge regression.

There was nothing GOAT about the 2018 season. Rodgers 2011 was definitely better. Manning 2013 was arguably better as well. According to analytics like QBR, Lamar's 2019 was better.

Media got you clouded cause they're on Mahomes balls. That corny mulatto is nice but he ain't no GOAT or close to it. A number of his peers are just as good if not better.
Homey is Aaron Rodgers 2.0.

well then it sounds like we can’t say we’ve already seen the best of him, sounds like there’s a lot more room for improvement.

And?

I'd rather watch Lamar Jackson or Deshaun Watson.
I been said Deshaun should’ve been the first pick off his collegiate resume and what he did in both NCG’s against Bama. Heisman aside, his work was worthy of the first overall pick. Im glad Lamar proving Cac’s wrong and he’s definitely the most electrifying player in the game. But if you rather have them over Mahomes (Watson you can debate) on your squad, then you’re tripping bro.

I think he's already maxed out. Andy Reid's system has benefited him. Also he snuck up on everyone in 2018. Similar to how Lamar is probably gonna have some regression this year given that teams have had an off-season to adjust.

Mahomes is not as talented as his media hype. He's a great QB. But all these GOAT talk is hyperbole. Homeyboy will have another MVP caliber season this year. I'm predicting 46 TDs or so. But he's not that durable. He's got a soft injury prone body. Also once that contract kicks in they won't be able to have as much talent around him anymore. And if Andy Reid decides to retire you will see a regression in his production because Andy Reid is an offensive genius who has had his QBs looking great statistically his entire career.

I think you underestimate how much the talent and scheme around Mahomes helps him. Lamar and Watson are carrying their franchises. Mahomes is not. The Chiefs were contenders before he got there. Don't forget Andy Reid had Alex Smith looking like an MVP candidate for the first half of the 2017 season.

You put Mahomes on the Ravens last year and there is no chance they win 14 games. He couldn't have elevated that offense the way Lamar did. And if Mahomes played in Houston I doubt he has as much success playing for that idiotic head coach the Texans got.

You have no problem using analytics in the NFL but you dismiss them entirely when it comes to the NBA.
Even though the statistical analysis in the NBA is far more reliable and accurate.

One freakin game :francis:

If you are still drafting air raid Graham Harrell's 2.0s then shame on you. Fake ass college numbers. Y'all knew what y'all were getting.

Put your trust in a big 12 QB brehs

Jay Cutler with melanin.

More like Pat LarryHolmes :flabbynsick:

If you're a shytty QB in Andy Reid's system, you shouldn't even be playing football

Jake Locker with more coach cred

Right...

If he has another MVP caliber season which I’m expecting this thread needs to hit the rafters for comedy purposes

Regular season mvp first year with the third best regular season for a QB
Super bowl mvp second year

and at this point, he said he rather have the rings like Tom Brady than being a regular season performer and fizzle out in the playoffs

I didn't cite it as support for my opinion. Read the post again. I said Rodgers and Manning had better seasons. Those were my proofs that it wasn't the GOAT season. Then I just mentioned what analytics said about Lamar's 2019 season for the idiots on here who care about that. Most Mahomes stans are cacs and cacs love their stats. It was me using their own shyt against them. Nothing more.

FTR my support for Lamar being the best QB in the league last year has to do with the fact he led a team nobody expected much from to a 14-2 season and the top scoring offense in the league with almost no quality players on the offense other than him. I could care less about the analytics.
