If Rock showed up to Elimination Chamber because ticket sales were “slow” then why didn’t he show up to Mania since ticket sales were slow too?

It boils down to two possibilities—either The Rock doesn't grasp the importance of storytelling in wrestling, or he's too caught up in his own ego to take part in something that doesn't center around him.

And both seem equally believable to me.

You dont watch pre or post stuff but you just mentioned what hhh, miz, wyatt, mcyintire were doing to break kayfabe outside the ring.

Cmon breh. :stopitslime:
What? There was threads and YouTube vids of that stuff galore..you thought I watched that shyt in real time? people clowned it and I checked for it after the fact. I didn't even see the Rebel pipe bomb till the next morning when everyone here was happy he said the Rock's real name to stand out l...lol

The Rock? You can't miss..his Instagram is bigger than any commercials he could ever run.

They won't admit to slow ticket sales for WM..haven't you heard? Austin said it was 124,000 fans for both days...lol.

And you are out if context..the Rock has had better, bigger, greater moments and stories than any main event in pro wrestling history. Bret, Flair, Savage, Hogan, Taker, Austin, Sting,...anybody. That's why here in 2025...he draws and everyone else really doesn't. Which is why there is so much bytching in this thread...WM 41 would of mattered if Rock was there. But it's mostly already forgettable except the triple threat for the women's title.

Cripple H, in all his wisdom, brings out Travis Scott as the difference maker for Cody to lose the belt? Lol..I can see why everyone wanted Rock to save WM yet again. Truth is .it's not the Rock's fault Cripple H booked the Superbowl of wrestling to be a joke...the terrible Charlotte/Tiffany match...no Nia Jax..burying Bayley for NO REASON at all. Barely pushed the Street Profits..the New Day...the Triple Threat with Roman has no stakes. One of the dumbest matches in WM history.

If HHH is doing such a great job then why are y'all upset over this? Thinking that someone that wrestled under the Vince regime doesn't understand the importance of storytelling is laughable, and every top wrestler past and present has an ego. Rock showed up for EC then proceeded to never mention the WWE afterwards. That should've been your hint that he wasn't showing up at Mania. :mjlol:

I see why Vin Diesel & Tyrese hate that nicca :mjpls:
I know it was a movie studio decision but his crash out was very reasonable especially when you add in the movie was done and then got delayed because of Hobbs and Shaw and then literally couldn't get released because of Covid lockdown while your marriage is falling apart

49ers..Braves..Celtics
So why go on the press conference and say "I'm a long gamer" and "Enjoy the Ride The Rock gonna take you on" if he's not gonna be involved?

Then have Punk cut a promo on them the next night? .

Something had to happen later on that week between Trips and him
It's obvious something happened... there was definitely creative differences and The Rock told Hunter and them. "Aight bet"... Elimination Chamber was a favor to Ari

The e stadium was full both nights and there were groups of people trying to get tickets last minute all over town. Who told y’all ticket sales were slow and why dental belive it.

We as fans HAVE TO stop acknowledging tickets sales. That shyt is so irrelevant.

The rock didn’t come because he didn’t feel like getting in shape and taking a bump. He wanted to belive he wasn’t needed and he jumped on pat mcsfee to silence the talk. And outside the hardcore IWC it worked.

It doesn’t matter what really happened, y’all always say they need to make young stars and fall back on booking part timers so y’all should be happy he ain’t show.

It was still a bad idea but I understand

Nash on Rock/Mania: “Last time Rock fukking showed up right before ‘Hercules’, he tore his fukking bone off his pelvis, and he fukking cost production $10mil. Rock can say what he wants, ‘I didn’t want to fukk up Cena’s fukking moment.’ He didn’t have the option. Scorsese wasn’t gonna let him”

The Rock and HHh’s petty feud from 25 years ago

He's been getting exposed a lot since that debacle happened. If it were just an isolated incident, it might be easier to dismiss, but from the Fast & Furious drama to his tardiness on the set of Red Notice, which reportedly rubbed his co-stars and crew the wrong way, to his attempt to take control of the DC movie universe, to the controversy surrounding his handling of WrestleMania 40 and 41 (which was also the fault of HHH and TKO)—there's a consistent pattern. It's good that these things come to light, but when the same issues keep surfacing, it stops being bad luck and starts being a habit.

Endless articles about tickets not being sold at previous levels...you couldn't miss it. It dont matter to me but it was a point of discussion to hash out compared to WM 40 with a Final.Bo$$ appearance every week.

Bottom line is...Cripple H blew it. Lol.

Tardiness? Who the hell complained about Rock being tardy when he's the top star? Lol.

Take control of DC by wanting Superman to face Black Adam? Well DC hadn't had a hit since and the Superman actor is gone.

The Rock made $270 million last year. Outranking all actors in Hollywood. His habits aren't the problem at all.
