Yeah but all that money can't buy you a ring. Money ain't everything. Notice nobody is talking about this dude. Can you imagine if dude stayed on that team?

His great great grandchildren can't eat championship rings.

That extra 30 million is another couple of generations of his family that'll never have to work

Him and his wife are already upset at fan criticism and heckling and it’s only been one year. Imagine what their reaction will be if he doesn’t live up to that contract. I highly doubt that he even makes it to year 6 in Philly with that contact. He’s just not a good baseball player, but a lot of people get fooled by the numbers.

If he is as a big of a star as he thinks and carries himself, then he should b able to make up that money elsewhere. If people criticized Mike Trout for taking the money rather than going to a better situation, then it’s only fair that Bryce Harper gets it as well.

We live in an era with 24 hour news cycles.

They gotta fill that time up somehow.

People will talk no matter what decision you make, so you might as well make the choice that's best for you and your family

He wanted the money and got it. That’s totally within his right. He just needs to remember that when he and wife get upset and thin skinned with people criticizing him for not living up to expectations. Any big market team and fans would shyt on him for how he’s played this year.

Your lifestyle is the same whether you got 300 or 330 Ms breh :manny: if you willingly to go to a fukked up situation cuz 300 Ms ain't enough then :pachaha:

You're only thinking about yourself.

You know your kids have kids right?

And then their kids have kids and so on and so on.

If a player has to play out their rookie deal (usually ending around 24 or 25), that means a pro player only has about 10 to 12 years to cash out for as much as he can.

I'm not gonna hate on any man for maximizing his value instead of leaving 30 million dollars on the table to win a championship thats ultimately meaningless except for the memories.

I'm firmly of the belief that no ball player should ever sacrifice money for owners or organizations that would cut them or trade them the millisecond they're no longer productive.

Nationals BEEN a fukked up situation his whole career. A title run one year for an otherwise mediocre franchise isnt exactly a "better situation". :mjlol:

You got folks who don't take a a certain job cuz it would be more stressful despite it paying more. And us poor people need every dollar we get.

If I had decision between 300 Ms and 330 Ms and the 300 gig was better and less stressful, it's a no brainer b. But that's me lol. My kids will be set for life off 300 million :mjlol:

I ain't even gonna act like I keep with the MLB so you know more than me lol. I live in DC but couldn't tell you a damn thing about the Nationals. I just go to games to drink a brew and relax :russ: the crowds seem pretty chill here IMO but it wouldn't surprise me if it's the same situation in Philly :yeshrug:

That's you...

Some men thrive under pressure, some tuck their tails and fold...

Comfort should be the goal of the elderly man, not one in the physical prime of his life.

And like I said before that 30 million is another couple of generations that don't have to worry, we're past his kids and are talking about his descendants now...
