What is it with Laker fans being some of the biggest Melo haters :heh: ? It's like they try to discredit any guy who can possibly be in the convo with Kobe.

Obviously Im a Lakers fan, and I've posted countless times that Melo is a top 3 player imo. Hell, I just posted about it 5-7 posts above.

Now, what do you mean about "possibly being in the convo with Kobe"?:dahell:

Melo will never be in that discussion. ....let's not get to ahead of ourselves now:mjpls:

I don't get this "elite" defender talk when it comes to Paul George, Melo just had 34 points on him, great offense will ALWAYS trump great defense (and most players aren't great defenders), George is a solid defender but George ceiling looks closer to Rudy Gay, the whole age thing is irrelevant, he's played consistent minutes for 3 years, most of the people he's compared to hit their potential by then, 23 is really your prime years. Dude just isn't nearly as good as advertised.

Would Paul George do what he does now on the Knicks? The Nets?

Imagine in Melo was playing with a cohesive unit on a team where a coach actually coaches and does'nt run into situations like this

He's 23 and this is his first year as THE GUY on his team. He will get better. Not only do I believe he will surpass Carmelo, but he eventually be a top 3-5 player every year. We already saw flashes of it this season, and despite his inconsistency HE IS STILL AVERAGING 22 PPG WHILE BEING THE BEST WING DEFENDER IN THE LEAGUE.

This thread was premature, but it's only a matter of time if he stays healthy.

Not sure about that. Any team with a speedy point lights up the Pacers even when they move him on them.

Yall talking about would Melo do what Paul does but better on a stacked team... nah...

Would Melo be able to play as good as PG if Melo was going through the stressful situation of offering "Dead or No Deal" money to strippers who got pregnant because of stupidity?:yeshrug:

:mjlol::mjlol: PG losing even in a superstar year.

I wish dudes could just take they L's like a man.

PG cant drop 25 consistently , his handle is shaky, his playmaking is average at best. His defense is good tho, but he ain't locking down no elite offense players.

He will never come close to Melo on offense. Melo 's 4th year in the league he was avg 29 a game, shooting 48 % from the field.

Just stop breh
