I feel it's only a matter of time. He plays both ends of the court and is already averaging 20+ with an offensive skill set that's not fully developed.
When melo is having an off night, he can't really help his team in other areas. PG can lock down the opposing team's guard/sf and he's a better rebounder and passer.
Health withstanding, it's only a matter a time before PG surpasses Melo. There's already several things he already does better. When his scoring efficiency becomes more consistent it's a wrap.

It's utterly hilarious how people wanna compare a guy headed to the CFs to a guy who's been at home for a month. George isn't as good as Melo...what good has that done any of the team's Melo has played for though?

I'll post some fun Melo facts.
- In 5 playoff series Melo has shot below 40%. (40% of the series he has played in)
- In 33 playoff games Melo has shot 40% or less. That's exactly HALF of the playoff games he has played in.
- In 17 playoff games Melo has shot below 35%.
So don't use FG% in an argument for Melo. You ain't gonna win.

Because of this and the fact that people stay shytting on cats that...you know actually participated in the playoffs while constantly bigging up a guy who didn't. You can't call people that are actually in the playoffs chokers and other pejoratives (while totally ignoring circumstance and putting it all on them) and then turn around and extol the virtues of a cat who wasn't even in the playoffs (while acknowledging circumstance and copping pleas).

Personal is, like I mentioned earlier, shytting on certain guys for losing or struggling in the playoffs while copping pleas for a guy who wasn't even there. Why was this thread upped after a month of inactivity? To shyt on George for a rough playoff game. I just don't understand how anything occurring in the playoffs that Melo isn't participating in (and doesn't have the greatest resume his damn self) can be used to support him and this ain't the only thread it's happening in. That and what is the really the point or relevance of being better if there are no tangible benefits of that superiority?

George has never been asked to carry a team; Carmelo is asked to do that every year. Quite a difference in roles.
