I still trade Love for him. Your window is closing with an aging Bron and the Cavs as currently constructed won't beat GSW. Even the Celtics/Wizards might give them some trouble next year. You go all out for George, if he leaves you can get another free agent to sign with the money you will have available with Love and George gone. Might even win a ring along the way.

It's not always purely about basketball reasons when players want to change teams.

He most likely has a major bonus in his Nike contract if he plays in a large market (or specifically the Lakers). If anyone is paying attention, he has a new signature shoe and has been in a lot of commercials lately. Plus Lakers are his hometown team that he grew up rooting for.

He has been playing in the rust belt his entire career when he grew up around beaches and palm trees. That's why Boston and Cleveland don't appeal to him at this point in life.
