There is an incentive, they don't have to max Randle. And you are playing with fire if you think if PG will still re-sign with Lakers if he goes to a contender like Cavs. Going to the finals and winning will change your mind right away. Lakers main assets are (ingram, 2nd pick and Russell). I would trade anyone after that. Lakers haven't had any success in a while, Paul George is the "last" hope and if they let him slip away, that will be a huge disappointment.

All Paul George does is get the Lakers into the playoffs for a first round exit.

And again, EVERY report coming out from WOJ has said Paul George is going to the Lakers when he hits free agency.

If Randle continues to improve at the trajectory he's been on he'll be worth that contract. I think Magic is higher on him that most people realize and like I said Randle, Russell, and George have the same agent, the Agent is going to want to keep all of them in L.A.

If playing on a winning team was a game changer for George he wouldn't be saying "Lakers or bust" to the team and any other team willing to trade for him.

I rather lose PG and take the L than trade him for 15/20/26. That's role players status. Pacers would have to take Crabbe and shyt.

NAH THEY COULD TAKE FESTUS
DAVIS, NAPIER
AND THE 3 OTHER FILLERS
WITH ONE YEAR LEFT ON THEIR DEALS.

IF THEYRE REBUILDING
4 1ST ROUND PICKS IS THE WAY TO START OFF.

The report today said prefers..prefers does not mean a guarantee. He can prefer to play for the Lakers but can get traded to Cavs. He wins a ring with Cavs, he is not coming.

There is no point in Lakers to tank anymore..1st round exit >lottery team.

Randle was benched multiple times last season by Luke because of how bad he was, the dude showed 0 improvements last year when it came to defense, right hand, or jumpshot. People want his backup Nance to get mins over him. I doubt he has improved all that this year anyways. And even if he does..PG > Randle.

PG wants to be a Laker because he believes once he comes here, other FA's will follow. Having the young core, and 2-3 good FA is a good team to build around.

Lakers have tried with Love, Boogie, etc..and failed. They can't let PG slip, this is the last guy on that list. They have the pieces to trade without trading the main young core. Randle and Clarkson are movable.

This is the same guy who impregnated a stripper, begged her to have an abortion, got ganked in court, and proceeded to get the same stripper pregnant a 2nd time. Yeah, that same guy.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
How many more times does this have to happen before these stupid ass teams trade the player who is non-committal about their future with the squad? Are the Jazz, Wolves and Kings the only ones who've done it right in the last 10 years?

They should have moved him at the deadline when they actually could have gotten a decent package for him, but nope, they hold on when the writing is on the wall. This isn't a generational talent, this is just a really good all-star, I can understand not trading a top 5 player, but cot damn these GMs act like abused women who think they can change their men.

The report today said prefers..prefers does not mean a guarantee. He can prefer to play for the Lakers but can get traded to Cavs. He wins a ring with Cavs, he is not coming.

The report also said this:

"The Lakers don't have to give assets up to go and try to trade for him. In fact, I think they have been encouraged to do just the opposite. If Paul George goes there, he wants them to have assets, he wants them to be as good of a team as they can when he walks in."

and another report said this:

According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowsk, George has informed the Indiana Pacers of his plans to opt out of his contract after the 2017-18 season, with the Lakers as his preferred next destination.

Shelburne reported the Lakers "do not currently intend to part with any of their young assets in a trade with the Pacers."

Wojnarowsk reported Pacers team president Kevin Pritchard is speaking with teams about trading George, but he has reportedly yet to open a dialogue with the Lakers.

For now, the Lakers have little reason to aggressively pursue a George trade. While he may want to play for them now, his feelings about staying in Los Angeles long term may change with one bad season.

There is no point in Lakers to tank anymore..1st round exit >lottery team.

I didn't say anything about tanking, I'm saying don't give up young assets to get Paul George. I want the team continue to develop the young players they have.

Randle was benched multiple times last season by Luke because of how bad he was

Which games?

Cause as I recall the Laker that was benched the most last season was D'Lo.Unless he was in foul trouble Julius was usually out there on the court late in games.

the dude showed 0 improvements last year when it came to defense, right hand, or jumpshot.

Again this isn't true, he showed improvident in every area you just mentioned. You can easily look at his shooting percentages and see that he improved his jumpshot. He also finnished with his right hand more than the previous season. His defense still needs a LOT of work but he showed flashes last year and actually had some key stops late in games.

People want his backup Nance to get mins over him.

There are also people that think Russell is a bust and want him traded...There's always dissenting opinions among fans.

I doubt he has improved all that this year anyways.

Why would you think he'd suddenly stop improving at his age after he's already shown improvement across the board?

And even if he does..PG > Randle.

Well no shyt, what are you gonna say next, "The Sun is hot". I'm just saying don't give up anything to get Paul George if you don't have to, that makes no sense especially when George's camp has already said NOT to give away assets.

It sounds like you really just want to get rid of Randle for no reason lol.

PG wants to be a Laker because he believes once he comes here, other FA's will follow. Having the young core, and 2-3 good FA is a good team to build around.

Then why would he be sending signals to the lakers NOT to trade away their young players?

Lakers have tried with Love, Boogie, etc..and failed. They can't let PG slip, this is the last guy on that list. They have the pieces to trade without trading the main young core. Randle and Clarkson are movable.

It's a different regime, and NONE of those guys were saying outright they wanted to play for the Lakers.

GMs shook, you need full commitment from ownership to flat out trade stars.
