Ended up being a wash for them and they still didn't get back as much as they could have
We'll also see if Vic Oladipo can sustain his play or if its an anomaly next year.
A wash? Pacers got 21 Year Old Damantas Sabonis in the Deal too. He’s shaping up to be a Double double machine.
the fact that Paul George isnt coming back to OKC and they are nowhere near a title contender means Indiana automatically won the trade.Ended up being a wash for them and they still didn't get back as much as they could have

Where pg had them at his peak? You giving PG too much credit. Those Pacers teams that challenge the Heat were not all PG. they were just a well put together team. Paul George didn’t have to carry that team. He just had to do his part.Do you see this team being anything more than a treadmill? The goal should be to at least reach where PG had them at his peak.
Unless they use the extra cap space well and draft well then idc...![]()

The Pacers can be a treadmill team and continue that, but they have cap space now and young assets.OKC definitely gambled and are assed out but simply maintaining a treadmill can never be a win.
Then again, a lot of you really value the regular season and eastern conference and I don't.

I could see Vic regressing back to 53 TS% and the Pacers being something like a 8th seed and
They saved money but if they don't draft well then its meaningless and we're essentially boasting about a treadmill team.
The goal should be to at least replicate where PG had them when he peaked.
They weren't trading away, "The 2013 Indiana Pacers." .
How can you trade away one player from a team that got swept in the first and somehow expect the fruits of the trade to be an ECF appearance, just because that's what happened 4-5 years earlier when they had a squad?
They made a trade that saved money, got good players locked in to the team for fair multiyear contracts, AND made the team better. If that ain't a win I don't know what is.
