There is a difference. If a women has a great relationship with their father chances are she has better understanding of men and has certain regard and respect for them. But it still shouldn’t be ignored that the dysfunctional environments (by the design of white supremacy) a lot of Black ppl are raised in makes it difficult to be good partners because they never saw it. A woman whose father wasn’t around is going to have a more difficult time trusting men in general. A man who saw his parents constantly at odds is going to think that’s how relationships work.
