At first I was pissed, but The Wizards have a pretty solid lineup.
Arguably the best back court in the league and two bigs that can actually rebound. Pierce hasn't played with rebounders in years(in years!!). Though I see Washington was only 20th is the league in rebounding last season... That's still better than the Nets who were 29th, and every Celtics team since the 08-09 season. With LeBron on a questionable Cavs team and Hinbert playing like shyt, the Wizards have a good shot to come out.

I'm copping every Paul Pierce Nets t shirt when they go on sale though.

His game never left.. He just started off slow(which I expect him to do again) and had limited minutes this season. Before Joe Johnson started going ape shyt, Pierce was the Nets best players in the second have of the season. I mean, he was really really good the 2nd half of the season. Vintage Pierce like.

Man you poppin shyt for no reason right now. Pierce gonna surprise you nikkas have you no faith? The nikka actually wasn't bad at all in the playoffs and was arguably the Nets second best player. If he gets into better shape and he probably will with these young guns, I can see him hitting the same daggers he's been hitting for the past decade.

It's a slept on signing. Pierce is still better than people think, and he's about as good as it gets when you're looking for veteran leadership.

I'd much rather Pierce at 2/11 than Ariza at 4/32... especially when Ariza is a proven contract year player
