I know he's said he owns his Masters but I don't see where the narrative that Jimmy gave them to him out of good faith came from. It sounded more like a contractual dispute to avoid a large payout.

Because he's not trying to lose 100 million investing in music business of all places.If you are worth 100 million dollars why would you sign and give a cut of your earnings to anybody? There's no money in hiphop like that anymore. And now that everything is online even a distribution deal doesn't make sense. Either 50 is trying to live out a 2nd childhood or he's running a little low on cash

50 Said it in numerous interviews when he left in 2012 I think so just watch his popular ones from that year and I believe Jimmy Iovine mentioned it also on his media run for The Defiant Ones HBO doc. 50 has said it many times but it was only 5 years ago so I'm sure the articles would be up still or videos on YouTube from then.

So Def Jam and Interscope are imprints ala Young Money and 1017 Brick Squad?It don't seem like Fif to get passed around like a ho from imprint to imprint, again something's not adding up I guess I'll just wait for more details. Notice Royce nor his new signees got placements on his albums, because Interscope is banking on Em to be a pop star. Shady/Def Jam could focus on putting out rap records without having to try pick up slack for Lady Gaga.
Griselda can avoid ending up like the other Shady artists that either got no chance or didn't get a second one after it was apparent there would be no ROI.
