Stuff like this is really good. Thank you. It’s questions like these that I don’t always know to consider. It’s a Lexus and I plan on keeping it until the wheels literally fall off. I bought it w the intent that I would be able to trust it, and so far it hasn’t given me too many problems outside of buying premium gas smh

Side note: for ppl that graduated, took a break from school then went back to school, how did you handle your undergraduate loans? I know I want to go back to school, and will be, so the idea of trying to pay them now seems kinda pointless

Because interest is paused, it is, but be mindful that depending on your loan interest still adds up while you go back for that 30k turns into 34k plus whatever loans you need for grad school.

It really depend on why you are going back to school and what sort of jobs you are looking at, if getting your MBA from a top 20 school you are probably looking at 120k bases salary before bonuses coming out of school so ignoring undergrad loans isn’t crazy, if you are getting your masters to come out and make 80k it might be better to wait depending on how much you owe now plus the cost of the program. 100k+ is a lot of loan money if you are making 80k. Just run the number on each scenario and you will find the answers quick for yourself.

Move out is a top priority. You can pay off your car and have your own place. Just budget.

Better play is to stay and save. Lump sums are cool, but do not underestimate the power of money over time.

Best play is stay and stack in three pots. Start with 10-15٪ in both Car and moving out. Keep the rest separate. Stack all 3, more percentage to paying off the car over the next 6 months to a year. When your car is 80% paid off, lump sum the rest. Then move out with your Personal stack and your House stack.

Or if your impulsive, move out now and pay off car.

Worst is paid off car and starting over from 0. But thats actually a good move to.

I wouldn’t move out. I wish I stayed home longer than I did, and I left home with quite a bit saved up. My dad ain’t make me pay for rent, and he kept groceries in the crib, and I always had a plate waiting on me when I got to the crib. He used to tell me I was good in his home, and he wasn’t going to make me pay any bills as long as I kept working and advancing in my career. He ain’t even trip about the women. Whenever my girl at the time would come through, she had to sleep in a separate room, so I’d usually get us a hotel at the casino or New Orleans when she came. I had it good. He’s doing that for my baby brother now. Even today he tells me I can always come home, and my room will be waiting on me

I don’t think I’d pay off that car either. Not yet. You’re 23. Enjoy being a youngin and not having all these bills. Stack up more and when it’s that time to finally leave, you’ll be ready. shyt, keep stacking up and you can get you one of these houses or townhomes.
