Yep, property tax is the most demonic tax in my opinion. An old lady could have paid her house off decades ago, but her property tax could skyrocket because her area is becoming gentrified, to the point where she can't afford the tax and get her house taken away. You never truly own a house in America.

Regardless of the market, you still some return on your investment. Some people can actually sell at a profit for what they paid for their house. You get nothing back from renting.

In a market correction or some other scenario you can lose on property value as well. End up stuck with an over priced loan to pay.

Pull the curtain back with some of these mortgages and you'll find out they house poor. People fukk it up taking the maximum loan they can. You'd be surprised at how many people dont factor in other bills when accepting that loan.
