1. Graphics, exclusives, emulators, wanted to learn to aim with a mouse because shooters felt limited with a controller.
2. Switched during 360/PS3
3. 100% of my gaming was done on PC last year. Gave my PS5 and switch away, thinking I'd buy a pro and a switch 2, but never felt the need.
4. Nope.

1. Mods, emulator (yuzu, always wanted to play totk with 60fps/4K), performance/graphics (rtx 5070), space (2TBs), free games, upgradability, better deals ($100 for eafc 25 + 12 months of PlayStation premium roughly $300 vs onetime steam purchase of $50 for fc26), free online multiplayer, backup use cases like crypto, content creation and AI

2. August 2025

3. 1:2 in favor of console, traded by ps5 in august, havent touched a console since

4. Nope, no chance

1. I always played games on computers, but primarily when more games on console came out on PC
2. Played on them since 89-90, but moved to PC primarily in 2010
3. 100%
4. Maybe only at the end of their life cycle to play a game that is not on PC

1. Watching those G4 tournaments on the hot cable, I wanted to experience arena shooters in the PC realm, LAN or otherwise.
2. 2005? Or 2006.
3. Somewhere close to 100%.
4. Maybe a Switch 2 cause I'm big on Nintendo's mainstream titles. Otherwise I don't plan on buying a future console. Might also get a PS5 for GT7, but I'll probably just wait for prices to get lower on the used ones.

1. What lead you make the jump? This is actually my third time jumping into PC gaming, for an exclusive period of time, however, it's home for the long haul now. This time around though? Microsoft not getting their hardware shyt together and just frankly, the PC offers a better experience. I can use any controller I want and my PC is more powerful than the base PS5/XSX.

2. When did you switch? This last and final time was January 2024.

3. What percentage of your gaming was done on pc versus console in 2025? For games that I buy for myself, around 95%. All the games I bought for the XSX last year was for my son so NCAA, Madden, 2K, MLB The Show and WWE, that's for him. I do buy PS5 games but the only game I bought last year was Ghost of Yotei and that was for him as well. The Switch games are for me.

4. Will you buy the next Xbox and/or PS? For myself? I have no real reason to. If my kid wants them, I'll get them for him.

1. Higher frame rates
2. 2015, right before Fallout 4 launch
3. 75% PC/25% console - pretty much play all multiplats on PC, outside of the occasional sports game or something without cross plat
4. Yes, will probably always have a PC/Playstation/Nintendo setup

1. I wouldn't say I ever "made the jump", I was playing PC games in the early 00's. I owned various consoles over the years (since the Saturn) but the goal was always to supplement it with a PC.

2. #1 again. I never really completely replaced consoles, I still own a Switch.

3. 99.99% PC

4. Possibly, depends on the games. This generation there hasn't been a compelling reason to own a console. Eventually I'll get a Switch 2 for Zelda, etc. but unless Sony announces "Bloodborne 2" I'm not pressed for the next generation of consoles, either. It would have to be a generation defining exclusive to move me.

Fred.
