This is such a silly thing to do though. It's much better to put the disclaimer before the problematic videos.
Even a current storyline like the Shane McMahon and Braun strowman one could be seen as offensive. They can try to say that it's not, since they'll have Braun triumphing over the evil bully at the end, but if some of those scenes are taken out of context, then they can still be seen as offensive to somebody.
Such a dumb move, it was already annoying that they would edit things from the broadcasts pre-Peacock, but at least that was because of music rights
It was a different time back then and as noted putting up a disclaimer would suffice. If you watch movies from the 80s/90s I'm sure you can find similar things that could be deemed racist today, yet they're not edited. And to now straight up remove whole ass segments and present a sanitized version just hurts the appeal of watching it

It's dumb because none of these services are ever consistent. It's not that I don't think there's hella offensive shyt that probably shouldn't be reaired, but they'll do this and then have 400 movies or shows with known racists/rapists/whatever that they'll never touch. And it's like this on all services. Some particular actor or topic gets a ton of negative buzz and they make a point to let people know they're removing the offending person/topic from their platforms and then leave up hundreds of other people and topics just as bad and offensive or worse. Either go all the way or just put up disclaimers, this half measure shyt is lame at best ,hypocritical at worst.

There's a part of me that says "who gives a fukk, who was goin' out of their way to see the Roddy Piper match or the Vince segment anyway... if some shyt gets cut, it gets cut".
There's another part that says they don't need to go thru all that, just put a "Viewer Discretion" disclaimer up, the same way any other TV show would.
I DO think some people are going overboard and exaggerating just how much stuff is gonna be edited. I saw someone say on a thread that they're probably gonna cut "everything", even stuff like Stone Cold drinking beers...
come on now... people drink beer in TV commercials, it ain't that deep. Honestly, I think there's stuff that will be kept, and only the things that stick out the most and have been highlighted as controversial/bad moments will be edited. We probably won't see shyt like Katie Vick or DX in blackface, but I doubt they're diggin' deep into obscure moments/promos that nobody even brings up... which honestly, there's more of them than the ones we always talk about.
I will say, I'm most surprised by the amount of TSC brehs upset by this... You can't be outraged about racism that's been depicted on WWE TV and now be mad that they're cutting this stuff out at the same damn time. That's just crazy
