Yall think basketball is bad, yall haven't seen racing. In F1, there are 20 slots. Half the grid have millionaire parents and half of those have a net worth over $250 million. Making it to the top from the lower/middle class is impossible without a sponsor dumping millions into your career. :wow:

Every sport is headed in that direction. You gotta be all-world as a teenager with some money behind you to get some attention.

Basically the rich are reducing the number of ways a poor/middle class person can reach the 1%.

Sports used to be the way.....feels like boxing/MMA is the only avenue where being poor is probably more of an advantage. No amount of money can really prep someone to get hit in the face.

:mjlol: Wait til more international players come in.

That's over. These guys can afford to get eyes on them and play where they need to. Training regimens, coaching, etc.

It's a competition.
They are going to take over the nba in 20 years.

Lol basketball scouting is a multi billion dollar industry....it dont matter where you from if you can ball someone will find you.
there aint no..."why is a brother up north better than jordan that aint get that break" scenario

This scenario never existed. It was just ducktales from nikkas claiming to be able to grab a $20 bill from the top of the backboard before their knee got injured.

They really don't want hood nikkas no more and made a conscious effort since the Iverson era to remove them from the game
NBA will never deny talent based on where they came from, what they will do is put them in media training, check their circle, ect. They do this before they even make it to the league.

Generally speaking to make it, you kinda gotta drop the hood shyt. That wasn't the case back in the 2000s.

You act like the 80's and 90's was not filled with complete stiffs who couldn't play a second in today's game. Each team had 3 bums like this playing for them. Go back to Michael Jordan's highlight tapes and you will see 2 of them on the court defending MJ. The euros and AAU stars gentrified these bums out of the league.

Big Country was actually kinda nice with that mid range
He just didn't give a fukk about being an NBA player and once the lockout happened he blew up and it was a wrap.
He was far from a stiff though
