Legacy prospects are killing sports.
They are too clean cut and media groomed before they can develop a personality so they end up boring robots.
We need more first gen athletes from the hood like LeBron and Chennedy Carter to keep the game exciting.
:mjlol: Wait til more international players come in.

That's over. These guys can afford to get eyes on them and play where they need to. Training regimens, coaching, etc.

It's a competition.

The last bastion of "I came from nothing" players are Hispanic baseball players and MLB is trying to end that too.

It’s still very much the sport of the hood; the issue is those kids don’t have the money for AAU and individualized training to get the exposure necessary. Basketball is being gentrified, especially at the college level, but it’s still very popular in the hood

i always felt companies like overtime have been doing this :patrice: they always rubbed me the wrong way

Basketball becoming the Black and Euro Lacrosse and shyt :deadmanny:

I legit believe we're gonna be having 15 year olds and shyt playing in the G-League. Luka has been a professional ball player since 16, he's only 23 looking like a HOF'r.

The league wants to expand throughout the world.

I was listening to Joel's interview with JJ and it's crazy his Dad didn't want him playing basketball. Joel's success killls that for the next 5,000 Joel Embiids.

Yes, home country didn't even have a indoor ball court. Put 5 full court basketballs courts in an indoor facility in these type of places and watch how many diamonds in the rough the NBA can find.

The Yay
Yall think basketball is bad, yall haven't seen racing. In F1, there are 20 slots. Half the grid have millionaire parents and half of those have a net worth over $250 million. Making it to the top from the lower/middle class is impossible without a sponsor dumping millions into your career. :wow:

Every sport is headed in that direction. You gotta be all-world as a teenager with some money behind you to get some attention.
wasnt it always like that with luxury ass sports like racing tho ? like you need to pay for so much shyt. even stuff like hockey, equipment and ice rental etc is expensive af

soccer is prolly the least expensive sport to play in the world, and even there scouts pick off the talented few and put them in academies.

This era of luxury country club cac honkey perimeter basketball is completely regressive.

Art Barr

You act like the 80's and 90's was not filled with complete stiffs who couldn't play a second in today's game. Each team had 3 bums like this playing for them. Go back to Michael Jordan's highlight tapes and you will see 2 of them on the court defending MJ. The euros and AAU stars gentrified these bums out of the league.
